4 Polish sausage (Bratswurst})
4 tablespoons mayonnaise or 4 tablespoons salad dressing
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
hoagie roll, split
4 ounces smoked turkey, thinly sliced
4 ounces cooked ham, thinly sliced
2 medium tomatoes, sliced
thin slices provolone cheese
8 slices bacon, cooked crisp
2 small onions, sliced
dill pickle, sliced
2 cups shredded lettuce

Steps:

  • Grill or cook the bratwurst according to package directions.
  • Spread horseradish sauce on inside of hoagie roll.
  • Cut Bratwurst in half lengthwise and place on bun.
  • Arrange 1-ounce, turkey, 1-ounce ham, 3-slices tomato, 2-slices cheese, 2-strips bacon, 3-slices onion, 1-dill pickle and 1/2-cup lettuce onto bratwurst.

I made these for dinner today and they were delicious. The brats and all the veggies caramelized with sweet apple ,seasonings all on a hoagie bun. These will be good at a camp out or tailgate party or afternoon football game.

1 package(s) stadium brats(6 ct.), cut in pieces
1 large onion, sliced in strips
6-8 small 3 colors (mini) bell peppers, cut into strips
1 medium red gala apple ,cut into bite size pieces
- use the following spices to taste:
- onion powder, lemon pepper, celery seed, mrs dash garlic & herb,whole basil, and seasoned salt
- drizzle with seasoned rice vinegar
6 - hoagie rolls

Steps:

  • In a large skillet over medium hight heat place the onions, peppers and diced brats, Stir until vegetables are are caramelized. Add the seasonings to taste. Add the apple pieces and sprinkle or drizzle with the seasoned vinegar.
  • Place a generous amount of vegetable/meat mixture in a bun with a little ketchup or hot sauce inside and a side of cole slaw. Enjoy!
