The Blue Lagoon cocktail is a beautiful vibrant blue drink made with vodka, blue curaçao and lemonade. Easy tropical drink to make at home and has a fun retro feel.

1 oz vodka
1 oz blue curacao
6 oz lemonade
lemon slice or wedge for garnish (or maraschino cherry or orange are other common garnishes)

Steps:

  • Pour the liquors over fresh ice cubes directly in glass or in cocktail shaker.
  • Top off glass with lemonade OR add 5-6 ounces of lemonade to shaker, shake and strain over ice.
  • Serve with straw and garnish of lemon or cherry.

This lemony vodka libation, garnished with black ice cubes and a licorice stick, is perfect for your Halloween party. Make the licorice ice cubes by boiling water and anise seeds together, then stir in black food coloring, pour into a mold, and freeze.

2 ounces Rosemary-Lemon Syrup
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Licorice Ice Cubes

Steps:

  • Combine vodka, syrup, and juice in a cocktail shaker, stir to combine. Add seltzer, and divide between two glasses filled with licorice ice cubes. Serve immediately.

For Licorice Ice Cubes:
4 cups water
2 tablespoons anise seed
2 to 4 drops black food coloring
For Cocktail:
4 ounces vodka
2 ounces Rosemary-Lemon Syrup
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Licorice stick, for garnish

Steps:

  • To Make Licorice Ice Cubes: Bring the water and anise seed to a boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat; let cool 30 minutes. Strain through a fine sieve (discard solids), then stir in food coloring. Pour into ice cube trays (preferably square), and freeze. To Make Cocktail: Combine vodka, syrup, and juice in a cocktail shaker, stir to combine. Add seltzer, and divide between two glasses filled with licorice ice cubes. Garnish with licorice stick. Serve immediately.
