Black Cherry Jello Salad: Made with Black Cherry Jello, Cool Whip, pecans, and cheese is a delicious jello salad often served at holiday and potluck meals.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 small boxes Black Cherry Jello prepared (If you can't find black cherry, regular cherry Jell-o will do.)
2 8 oz cans of pineapple tidbits, drained
3/4 to 1 cup of chopped pecan pieces (use as little or as much pecans as you want)
2/3 cup finely shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 1/4 cup Cool Whip

Steps:

My mom always makes this for Thanksgiving and all of my siblings have carried on the tradition. The secret is in the topping.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 (6 ounce) package cherry-flavored gelatin (such as JELL-O®)
2 cups hot water
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, juice drained and reserved
3 bananas, sliced
1 ½ cups cold water
1 cup miniature marshmallows, or as needed
¾ cup white sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 egg
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • Dissolve gelatin completely in 2 cups hot water and pour into desired mold. Mix crushed pineapple, bananas, and 1 1/2 cup cold water into gelatin mixture; top with miniature marshmallows. Chill until firm.
  • Whisk reserved pineapple juice, sugar, flour, and egg in a saucepan over low heat and cook, whisking constantly, until mixture almost comes to a simmer and becomes thick, about 5 minutes. Mix cream cheese into sauce, transfer to a large bowl, and cool to room temperature. Stir whipped topping into cream cheese mixture. Spread over gelatin. Chill thoroughly before serving.

1 Large box of black cherry jello
1 Can blueberry pie filling
1 Small can of crushed pineapple
8 oz Cream Cheese
8 oz Sour Cream
1/2 C Sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla

Steps:

  • Mix can of blueberry pie filling with Jello and pineapple. Do not drain pineapple. Place mix in a 13x9 dish. Let Jello gel in the refrigerator for two hours. Mix cream cheese, sour cream, vanilla, and sugar. Spread over Jello and place back into refrigerator until ready to serve.
