BEST BLONDIES RECIPE
A brown sugar blondie made with everything but the kitchen sink! Every kind of mix-in you have leftover in your kitchen goes in. Feel free to customize to what you have on hand!

Steps:
- Adjust oven rack to middle position; heat oven to 350° F. Grease with cooking spray or line a 13 by 9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in medium bowl; set aside.
- Melt the butter over medium heat and allow to cool slightly. Whisk melted butter and sugar together in medium bowl until combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
- Using rubber spatula, fold dry ingredients into egg mixture until just combined; do not overmix. Fold in the assortment of mix-ins and turn batter into prepared pan, smoothing top with rubber spatula.
- Bake until top is shiny, cracked, and light golden brown, 22 to 25 minutes; do not overbake. Cool on wire rack to room temperature. Remove bars from pan by lifting foil overhang and transfer to cutting board. Cut into 12 large or 16 small(ish) bars and serve.

- Brownies: Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add nuts, mix well, and set aside.
- Melt butter, add brown sugar, and mix well.
- Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
- Gradually combine with flour mixture, mixing well.
- Stir in white chocolate chips.
- Pour into a 9-inch square pan and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
- Sauce: Combine syrup and butter, cook over low heat until butter is melted.
- Stir in brown sugar until dissolved and remove from heat.
- Beat in cream cheese and maple extract until smooth.
- Heat again in the microwave until it reaches desired consistency.

YUMMIEST BLONDE BROWNIES!
Adapted from a favorite cookie recipe, these are so good that the first time I made them I ate the entire 8x8 pan myself! Easy and delicious - these are great when you want a real chocolate chip blonde brownie and not a chocolate chip cookie bar.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease the bottom of an 8x8 pan (I prefer glass).
- In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, vanilla and eggs with the melted butter. Mix well using a wooden or plastic spoon - not a mixer.
- Stir in flour, salt, baking powder and chocolate chips. (Tip: the chips will disperse more evenly throughout the batter if you mix them in with the flour instead of on their own at the end.).
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake until just barely golden around the edges. This usually takes just under 20 minutes in my oven but you should cook them until they are the texture you prefer - less time for fudgy, gooey brownies, more time for slightly more cake-like brownies.

I remember having blonde brownies for the first time when I was in high school and loved them so much that I came up with this recipe which seems pretty close to the taste I remembered.

- In medium mixing bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, & salt.
- Using mixer.... cream butter, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, & heath bits. Add eggs, vanilla, & continue mixing until smooth. Add flour, baking soda & salt mixture a little at the time & continue mixing until well blended.
- Add chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, almonds, and mix well. Spray 9" X 13" pan or coat with butter. Spread mixture in pan & top with remaining white chips. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25-30 min.

- Preheat oven to 350F/180C and line an 8-inch square or 9-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper, if using foil make sure to spray with non-stick spray then set the pan aside.
- In a light-colored medium-size pot over low-medium heat add the butter and cook to "brown the butter" this process will take anywhere from 5-15 minutes depending on the size of your post, be careful not to burn it as the butter turns from brown to burnt very quickly. Check out this post for an in-depth look at browning butter. You will start to smell a nutty aroma and the butter will become a golden brown color. Turn off and pour into a heatproof bowl to cool for 5 minutes.
- Add the sugars to the butter and mix to combine. Next add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla whisk together for a minute or two you want the color of the batter to lighten. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cornstarch, and gently mix until no flour streaks remain. Pour into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 19-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, you do not want to overbake. Let cool on a wire rack for 20 minutes before gently
