1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
confectioners' sugar, to coat

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a large bowl cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
  • Stir in baking mix, chopped nuts and almond extract.
  • Shape dough by level teaspoons into balls.
  • Place on ungreased cookie sheet. (I still lightly spray cooking spray onto cookie sheets).
  • Bake 12 minutes.
  • Cool slightly before removing from sheets.
  • Roll each ball in confectioners sugar while still warm.

4 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 eggs
1 cup granulated sugar

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. In large bowl, stir all ingredients except granulated sugar until soft dough forms.
  • Shape dough into balls, about 1 inch in diameter; roll in granulated sugar to coat. On ungreased cookie sheets, place balls about 2 inches apart. Flatten balls slightly with bottom of glass.
  • Bake 5 to 6 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks to cool. Store in airtight container.

1/3 c butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c powdered sugar
2 c bisquick baking mix
1/2 c ground nuts
3/4 tsp almond extract
2 Tbsp milk or water or juice
extra powdered sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 325^. Cream butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar, Stir in bisquick, nuts and almond extract. Mix in enough water to moisten dough only.
  • 2. Shape dough by level teaspoonfuls into balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  • 3. Bake about 8 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet. While warm, roll in powdered sugar.
