8 rhodes southern-style biscuits or 8 buttermilk biscuits, thawed but still cold
2 cups diced cooked chicken
1 cup diced ham
15 ounces alfredo sauce
2 cups grated swiss cheese, divided
1/3 cup chopped green onion
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
paprika, to sprinkle

Steps:

  • Cut biscuits into 4 pieces.
  • Combine biscuit pieces, chicken, ham, Alfredo sauce, 1 cup Swiss cheese, green onion and 1/2 teaspoon paprika in a bowl.
  • Place mixture in sprayed 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Sprinkle remaining 1 cup Swiss cheese on top and sprinkle with paprika.
  • Bake at 375°F 25-30 minutes.

This is very easy to put together and pretty tasty in my opinion! I came up with it when one night when I thought chicken cordon bleu sounded good, but only had cubed chicken on hand. You can use shredded cheese instead of sliced, add broccoli or more meat, use homemade biscuits... it's pretty forgiving. These are just the ingredients I happened to have on hand that day, but feel free to adjust to suit your tastes.

1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups cooked chicken, cubed
1/2 cup ham, cooked and cubed
4 slices swiss cheese
1 (7 1/2 ounce) can refrigerated biscuits
2 tablespoons melted butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
1/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • Melt butter in saucepan over low heat and blend in flour, salt,& pepper.
  • Cook over low heat,stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  • Stir in milk until smooth, let boil for about 1 minute and remove from heat.
  • Add chicken and ham to butter/milk mixture.
  • Spread into an 11x7 pan and cover with sliced cheese.
  • Place biscuits on top (I usually flatten in the palm of my hand so that they fit better and bake faster).
  • Pour melted butter over biscuits and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
  • Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, or until filling is hot and bubbly and biscuits are browned, and enjoy!

1 package (8 oz) shredded Swiss cheese (2 cups) Save $

1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Flaky Layers refrigerated Original biscuits
2 cups chopped deli rotisserie chicken
1 cup diced cooked ham (about 8 oz)
Sliced green onions, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish with cooking spray. 2 In large microwavable bowl, mix cream cheese and 1 cup of the Swiss cheese. Microwave uncovered on High 1 minute, stirring after 30 seconds, until softened and cheese is starting to melt; add additional 30-second intervals as needed. Beat in milk with whisk until mostly smooth; mixture may still be slightly lumpy. 3 Separate dough into 8 biscuits; cut each into sixths. Gently stir into cream cheese mixture; stir in chicken and ham. Spoon into baking dish. Top with remaining 1 cup cheese. 4 Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until deep golden brown and biscuits are baked through. Sprinkle with green onions.
