1 units sausage
4 units eggs
8 cans buttermilk biscuits
2 cans country style cream
12 ounces cheddar
2.1 ounces oscar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350. Brown sausage, set aside. Scramble eggs, set aside. Lay out the biscuits on a greased baking sheet with 1 inch sides. Press the biscuits flat and pinch together to make a crust. Small cracks are okay.
  • Spread one can of cream gravy over biscuits. Sprinkle 1/2 the package of cheese over the gravy. Sprinkle the bacon, cooked sausage and scrambled eggs. Then top with the rest of the cheese.
  • Bake for 20-40 minutes or until biscuits are lightly browned and cheese is melted. When done, let cool while you heat the other can of gravy in microwave or small sauce pan. Then cut and serve. Top with gravy and eat.

My family's favorite Sunday morning meal is my delicious and easy biscuits and gravy. One morning I decided to double the sausage gravy batch and try out a new recipe - biscuits and gravy pizza! Absolutely amazing. Now my family asks for this just as much as the standard biscuits and gravy. The recipe calls for about half of the amount of gravy that is made; we either make two pizzas with it, or freeze the rest for a later date!

1 (16 ounce) package breakfast sausage
¼ cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
1 (12 inch) pre-baked pizza crust
cooking spray
6 eggs
¼ cup milk
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, or as desired

Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir sausage in the hot skillet until browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Stir in flour until dissolved; add 2 cups milk. Stir occasionally until gravy reaches desired consistency, about 10 minutes. Season gravy with black pepper.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Place pizza crust on a baking sheet; brush with olive oil. Spread 1/2 of the gravy over the olive oil.
  • Spray a large skillet with cooking spray; warm over medium-high heat. Whisk eggs and 1/4 cup milk together in a bowl. Pour into the skillet; cook and stir until eggs are set, about 5 minutes.
  • Top pizza with scrambled eggs and Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until crust is golden brown and top is bubbling, 10 to 15 minutes.

1 pound bulk pork sausage
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
4 cups 2% milk
2 tubes (16.3 ounces each) large refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink, 3-5 minutes, breaking into crumbles. Add butter; heat until melted. Add flour, salt and pepper; cook and stir until blended. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat; cool to room temperature, about 25 minutes., Preheat oven to 400°. On a lightly floured surface, pat or roll each biscuit into a 6-in. circle. Spoon 1/2 cup gravy mixture over half of each circle to within 1/2 in. of edge. Wet edge and fold dough over filling; press edge with a fork to seal., Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake until golden brown, 12-14 minutes., Freeze option: Cover and freeze unbaked pockets on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet until firm. Transfer to freezer containers; return to freezer. To use, bake pockets on an ungreased baking sheet in a preheated 400° oven until golden brown and heated through, 12-14 minutes. If desired, brush with additional melted butter.
