BIRTHDAY CAKE JELLO SHOTS

Birthday Cake Jello Shots image

Provided by Laura Gummerman

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup cake-flavored vodka
1 cup white chocolate Godiva liqueur
1 cup milk
3 packets of unflavored gelatin
cylinder silicone mold
sprinkles and whipped cream for garnish

Steps:

  • Warm the milk in a saucepan over low-medium heat and add the unflavored gelatin. Mix together with a whisk until all the gelatin is dissolved.
  • Add the milk, vodka, and the Godiva liquer in a bowl. If you have a few bits of gelatin left that aren't dissolved, you can strain the milk before adding to the other ingredients. Mix together and transfer the mixture into a pourable container.
  • Pour the mixture into your silicone molds, and place in the fridge for 2-3 hours until set (keep the mold on a flat surface like a small cutting board so you can place the board inside the fridge). When firm, insert a toothpick between the jello and the sides of the mold, and go all the way around the mold to gently separate the jello from the sides. Push up from the bottom of the mold until the jello shot is removed from the mold. To serve, place the jello shots on a bed of sprinkles, and garnish with whipped cream and more sprinkles.

JELLO SHOT CUPCAKES RECIPE - (4.4/5)

Jello Shot Cupcakes Recipe - (4.4/5) image

Provided by kayjayjohnson

Number Of Ingredients 13

JELLO SHOT CUPCAKES:
1 package white cake mix
1 cup boiling water
1 (3-ounce) package Jello Gelatin, any red flavor (I used strawberry)
1 cup Malibu coconut rum
WHIPPED CREAM:
3 cups whipping cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 tablespoons granulated sugar
BROKEN GLASS JELLO GARNISH:
4 small boxes (3-ounces each) Jell-O (I used strawberry, blackberry, lime, lemon)
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin

Steps:

  • CUPCAKES: Prepare cake batter and bake as directed per box for cupcakes. Fill cupcake liners about 1/2 to 2/3 full and bake for about 18 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven and poke holes in the cupcakes with a fork or toothpick. In a separate bowl, stir boiling water into jello powder until completely dissolved, about 2 minutes. Add rum. Spoon over cupcakes. (Don't be shy with the jello. Be generous! 2, 3 to 4 spoonfuls!) Let cool before frosting with whipped cream. WHIPPED CREAM: Place the heavy cream, sugar and vanilla into the bowl of a stand mixer. Using the whisk attachment, whisk together on low until stiff peaks are formed. Change to medium speed and whisk until thick. GARNISH: Make jello per package instructions for each flavor. After chilling for 4 hours (or overnight), cut them into small blocks. Carefully mix the blocks in a 9 x 13-inch pan. In a separate bowl, sprinkle 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin into 1/2 cup cold water. After the gelatin blooms (thickens), add 1 1/2 cup boiling water and dissolve. Add condensed milk. Stir and cool. Pour cooled milk mixture over jello and chill overnight. Cut into blocks and garnish on top of cupcakes.

JELLO SHOT CAKE RECIPE - (4.2/5)

Jello Shot Cake Recipe - (4.2/5) image

Provided by á-32164

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 cups very cold rum or vodka, flavored is okay
6 teaspoons plain unflavored gelatin
6 (3-ounce) packages of jell-o, to your liking
1 1/8 cup vanilla yogurt
Water
Cooking spray

Steps:

  • Lightly spray bundt pan with cooking spray, wipe out excess. Place 3/4 cup water in saucepan sprinkle one teaspoon unflavored gelatin over it, let sit for a minute or two. Heat on medium-low stirring constantly with whisk until dissolved, about 5 minutes. Add first package jell-o, whisk in until thoroughly dissolved, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in 1/2 cup cold alcohol pour 3/4 cup jell-o mixture into mold, place mold in refrigerator. After 10 to 15 minutes place rest of jell-o mixture into bowl place in refrigerator for 5 minutes. Take bowl out add 3 tablespoons vanilla yogurt and whisk thoroughly, gently add to bundt pan place back in refrigerator. Wash all your utensils and start over with next flavor. NOTE: As the pan chills more and the layers get thinner it will go faster to add next layer. If it feels slightly tacky to the touch it is ready. If it's not set enough the layers will "bleed" through, if it sits too long the layers will come apart. When you add the last layer refrigerate at least overnight, with clean hands pull jell-o away from the edges of the pan, dip almost to top into a container or sink of warm water for 10 seconds, remove and jiggle pan, if it looks like it's coming away from the edges it's ready, if not, dip again for a few seconds. Place serving plate upside down over top, invert, and voila. A beautiful, delicious, impressive dessert!

Number Of Ingredients 8

2/3 cup cream soda
2/3 cup cranberry juice cocktail
1 tablespoon heavy cream

Few drops food coloring, if desired
Whipped cream - fresh or store-bought
Sprinkles or Jimmies for garnish

Steps:

  • Lightly spray the mold with non-stick spray and wipe excess off with a paper towel. Don't over spray it or the residue will affect the taste of the jello. Pour the soda, juice, and cream into a medium saucepan and sprinkle the gelatin on top. Allow the gelatin to soak for 2-3 minutes, then begin to heat on low, stirring constantly until gelatin is fully dissolved (about 5 minutes). Remove saucepan from heat and add vodka and food coloring. Pour into molds and chill for several hours, or until set. Remove from mold, top with whipped cream Note: Could easily make these mock-tails by omitting the alcohol.

Now you can have your cake..and take it as a shot, too! This is a tasty little shot that looks just like a little cake tart after it sets and turns into a cute little birthday cupcake shot after it is topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. Cook time includes 4 hour chill time. (From Erica's Sweet Tooth)

Time 4h10m

Yield 30 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

2/3 cup cream soda
2/3 cup cranberry juice cocktail
1 tablespoon heavy cream
2 (1/4 ounce) envelopes plain gelatin
2/3 cup cake-flavored vodka (Pinnacle and Three Olives both make it)
3 drops blue food coloring, if desired
whipped cream, for garnish
candy sprinkles (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Lightly spray the mold with non-stick spray and wipe excess off with a paper towel. Don't overdo it or the residue will affect the taste of the jello.

  • Allow the gelatin to soak for 2-3 minutes, then begin to heat on low, stirring constantly until gelatin is fully dissolved (about 5 minutes).
