CHEESY BROCCOLI BAKE

Steps:
- Heat oven to 400°F. Place cereal in resealable food-storage plastic bag; seal bag and crush with rolling pin or meat mallet. In small bowl, mix cereal and olive oil; set aside. In 1 1/2-quart casserole, place broccoli; cover and microwave on High 3 minutes. Drain; set aside.
- Meanwhile, in 2-quart saucepan, heat margarine until melted. Stir in flour, salt, mustard and pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with wire whisk, until smooth and bubbly. Stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute; remove from heat. Stir in cheese until melted. Pour sauce over broccoli in casserole. Sprinkle with cereal mixture.
- Bake uncovered 18 to 20 minutes or until hot.

- Heat oven to 350°F Reserve 1 cup French-fried onions for topping.
- In 5-quart Dutch oven, mix remaining onions, the broccoli, cream cheese, bell pepper and red pepper sauce. Cover; cook over medium-low heat about 20 minutes, stirring once halfway through cooking, until sauce chips are melted.
- Transfer to ungreased 2- to 3-quart casserole.
- Bake uncovered 20 to 25 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Sprinkle reserved onions around outer edge of casserole; bake 5 minutes longer.
- High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Heat oven to 375°F In step 2, cover and cook over medium heat 20 to 25 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. In step 3, bake 25 to 30 minutes.

This is a recipe I found from Betty Crocker website. I gave it my magic touch and kicked it up a notch! :) Made it for my DH's birthday dinner party and it was gone in NO TIME!! Everyone just loved it!

- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Reserve 1 cup french fried onions in a bowl for topping.
- In a large saucepan on medium-low heat, add cream cheese cubes, 2 bags of Green Giants Broccoli 3 cheese sauce, red peppers,(dry)chicken bouillon cubes,red pepper sauce, rest of the french fried onions, mozzarella cheese and whipping cream, black pepper and salt to taste.
- Simmer 20 minutes and transfer to a 2-3 quart casserole dish.
- Add the reserve 1 cup of French fried onions to top of casserole.
- Place casserole in oven and bake 20-25 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

- In 4-quart Dutch oven, cook and drain tortellini as directed on package; cover to keep warm.

- In same Dutch oven, melt butter over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Cook 2 to 5 minutes longer, stirring often, until butter stops foaming and browned bits form at bottom of pan. Remove from heat.
- Stir sage, garlic, lemon peel and salt into browned butter. Gently fold in cooked tortellini and broccoli.
