3/4 cup chilled whipping cream
1/2 8-ounce container mascarpone cheese
3 tablespoons plus 1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons limoncello (lemon liqueur)
8 cups assorted fresh berries (such as raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and hulled sliced strawberries; about 2 pounds)
3/4 cup raspberry preserves
1 tablespoon grated lemon peel

Steps:

  • Combine whipping cream, mascarpone, 3 tablespoons sugar, and limoncello in large bowl. Beat until soft peaks form.
  • Combine all berries, raspberry preserves, lemon peel, and remaining 1/2 cup sugar in another large bowl; toss gently. Divide berry mixture among 8 coupes. Top with mascarpone cream.

2 teaspoons limoncello
2 teaspoons freshly squeezed orange juice
fresh ground pepper
italian biscuit (optional)

Steps:

  • Place cut strawberries in a bowl.
  • Pour over the liqueur, orange juice and sprinkle over with freshly ground pepper. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Serve as is, or if desired, with Italian biscuits.

1/2 pint raspberries, rinsed and dried
1/2 pint strawberries, rinsed and dried, stemmed and quartered
4 shots limoncello, chilled
6 fresh basil leaves, cut into ribbons

Steps:

  • Lightly mix together the blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries in a large bowl. Portion the berries into 6 small dessert bowls or glasses. Add a shot of limoncello to each. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and up to 4 hours to allow the berries to macerate in the liquid.
  • Just before serving, garnish with basil.
