I got this recipe from my Aunt Sue, a great cookie baker. Be sure not to make them too big or too close together or you'll end up with one big cookie.

Number Of Ingredients 7

¾ cup butter
1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
2 eggs
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup toasted sesame seeds
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Cream together the butter and the brown sugar. Beat in the eggs. Sift together the baking powder and the flour and mix in. Stir in the sesame seeds and vanilla.
  • Drop by teaspoon on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for about 25 - 30 minutes.

These cookies are made by the thousands and delivered to friends and family every year. The cookie master delivers dozens throughout the state and uses a commercial kitchen to produce each batch, a dozen at a time. If you live in Nevada you've probably either heard about Ben Graham's cookies or sampled one!

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 cups butter or 2 cups margarine
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs
3 teaspoons vanilla
2 teaspoons salt
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
5 cups flour
4 cups nuts
6 cups chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Mix each ingredient well, then bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
  • Use a small ice cream scoop to scoop out the dough, and only place 1 dozen to each cookie sheet spacing them about 2 inches apart.
