Beer Bread Muffins image

Beer Bread Muffins made with beer, garlic, butter, cheese, and flour.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/4 cup butter
6 cloves garlic (minced)
2 1/2 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
12 oz beer
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Melt butter over low heat in a small saucepan.
  • Add in minced garlic and cook just until you start smelling the garlic, about 1 minute.
  • Remove pan from heat and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • Add in beer and melted butter mixture.
  • Stir until ingredients are just moistened. Batter will be lumpy.
  • Spray a 12 cup muffin tin with non stick spray.
  • Evenly divided batter among the 12 cups.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes or until tops are golden and a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove muffins to a wire rack to cool before serving.

BEER BREAD MUFFINS are my absolute favorite easy bread recipe! These fun little bisquick muffins taste just like a comforting loaf of beer bread. They're the ultimate addition to any meal, especially Thanksgiving!

4 cups Bisquick
4 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 can/bottle 12 oz. beer (room temperature, (dark or medium works best in our opinion but you can use any favorite beer))
4 tablespoons butter (melted)
Flake Sea Salt (or regular for sprinkling)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375F.
  • Spray muffins tins with non-stick baking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine the bisquick, sugar, and beer and mix well. Pour batter into muffin cups and bake at 375 for 10 minutes or until beginning to brown. Remove muffins from oven.
  • Brush each muffin with butter and sprinkle lightly with salt.
  • Return the muffins to the oven and bake an additional 5-10 minutes or until muffins are golden brown on top.
  • Transfer muffins from the oven and remove immediately from the pan.
  • Muffins are best eaten hot.
  • Enjoy!

  • In a large bowl, mix together the sugar and flour. Add beer and continue to mix, first using a wooden spoon, then your hands. Batter will be sticky. Pour into a 9 x 5 inch greased loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees ) for 50 for 60 minutes. The top will be crunchy, and the insides will be soft. Serve topped with butter or cheese spread.

1 1/3 cups self rising flour
3 tablespoons cream of wheat
3/4 cup sugar
12 ounces beer
3 tablespoons clover honey

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Spray a 2x Muffin loaf pan with nonstick spray.
  • First add your beer to mixing bowl making certain to not produce a foam. Add the flour in parts mixing thoroughly to avoid lumps , sugar, Cream of Wheat and a honey to a mixing bowl.
  • Stir with a mixing spoon until combined and lump-free.
  • Pour the batter into the Muffin loaf pan(s).
  • Bake for 30 - 35 minutes or until the top of the bread is Moderately browned.
  • Allow to Completely cool before serving if you wish for a more consistent and firm bread-like middle - or allow to cool 5 to 10 minutes if you like a spongy center.
  • NOTE: This is very sweet and is more akin to a desert treat than to bread. Alternately you can change the amount of sugar and/or Honey to make it less sweet (to your taste).
