Steps:
- In a large skillet, heat oil over high heat.
- Saute the onion until translucent.
- Add stew meat and cook on high heat until meat is browned on all sides (3-5 minutes). Pour 2 cups water, soy sauce, and worcestershire sauce into the skillet.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Bring to boil and reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
- Then combine the gravy mix with 1 cup of water, mix thoroughly and stir into the meat. Bring to boil, stirring frequently until it slightly thickens.
- Serve over egg noodles.
BEEF TIPS AND TOTS
I'm going to show you this very old-school method of making beef tips, which, once made, can be used to top lots of things--but my favorite thing to top with tips is probably Tater Tots®. And if you're looking for new ways to prepare lean, cheap, tough cuts of beef, this is one of my all-time favorite methods. You can give this an upgrade by topping with diced red onion, grated Cheddar cheese, and freshly sliced green onions, or you can serve the beef tips over hot mashed potatoes instead of tots, if you like.

- Slice beef into 3/4-inch strips; then slice these pieces, at an angle, into smaller "tips." Season beef with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat until shimmering. Transfer in beef, arranging in a single layer. Let the meat sear until browned, 3 to 5 minutes, before turning over and browning the other side.
- Reduce heat to medium and add tomato paste, garlic, and butter. Stir everything until the butter melts, and then stir in the flour. Cook and stir for 1 minute.
- Stir in broth. Raise heat to high and bring to a simmer. Reduce to low, cover, and cook until beef is starting to get tender, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
- Uncover, turn heat to medium, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened, and the meat is tender, about 30 minutes.
- While meat simmers, bake potato nuggets in the preheated oven until crispy and heated through, 20 to 25 minutes.
- Taste beef tips and adjust the seasoning. Serve immediately over hot potato nuggets.

Steps:
- Note: You will also need an 8 ounce rarebit dish and a larger dinner dish.
- Ladle 1 ounce of oil into heated sauté pan. Add minced garlic and cook for 10 seconds. Place 7 ounces of beef tips into pan and generously season with seasoning salt. After tips have cooked for 1 1/2 minutes, add vegetables. When vegetables are 50% done, add burgundy wine. Cook tips to medium doneness. If you're cooking beef tips medium-well or well done, do not add garlic until wine is added because garlic will burn.
- When tips are done, portion rice into bottom of a large rarebit dish and place tips and veggies on top of rice. Do not drain.
- Place a slice of Monterey Jack cheese over tips, covering beef tips completely. Tuck the cheese around the beef tips so it is contained within the dish. Place rarebit dish into a cheese melter, broiler, or oven. Carefully remove dish when cheese is completely melted.
- Serve rarebit on dinner dish. Garnish with a fist size piece of kale and a sprinkle of parsley and serve.

Slow cooker beef tips are great on top of mashed potatoes or rice. Throw beef stew meat and gravy in a Crockpot and dinner is done.

- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours until beef is cooked through and falling apart when picked up with a fork.

- Cut the chuck roast into 1" cubes using a very sharp knife. Allow to sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes to remove the chill.
- Pat the cubes dry with a paper towel and transfer to a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of oil, 2 teaspoons Kosher salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Massage the seasoning into the beef cubes and set aside.
- Add 2 tablespoons of oil to a large pan (equipped with a fitted lid) or a Dutch oven over high heat and allow to come to temperature. Sear the cubes in 2 batches. Sear for 3 minutes on one side, then flip and sear 3 minutes more. Transfer beef cubes to a plate and set aside.

- In a large skillet pan, over medium-high heat, brown ground beef and salt until meat is no longer pink. Break up and crumble meat as you cook it. Drain.
- Add sloppy joe sauce, baked beans (do not drain), corn (drained), bbq sauce, mustard, and spices. Stir together and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. It should get slightly thicker as it simmers.
