EASY BEEF STROGONOFF
This used to be my favorite dish growing up. I never knew it was so easy to make. Growing up CAN be fun!

Steps:
- In a large skillet brown beef in oil over medium high heat. When meat is browned, drain excess fat from skillet. Add garlic powder, salt and pepper and stir in.
- Add bouillon, onion and mushrooms to skillet and saute until onions are translucent. Remove from heat (very important) and add sour cream. Stir all together and serve over hot cooked egg noodles.

BEEF STROGANOFF III
I have been making this recipe for over 20 years. This can be served over either rice or noodles. A little work but worth the effort.

Steps:
- Remove any fat and gristle from the roast and cut into strips 1/2 inch thick by 2 inches long. Season with 1/2 teaspoon of both salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and brown the beef strips quickly, then push the beef strips off to one side. Add the onions and cook slowly for 3 to 5 minutes, then push to the side with the beef strips.
- Stir the flour into the juices on the empty side of the pan. Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Lower the heat and stir in mustard. Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until the meat is tender.
- Five minutes before serving, stir in the mushrooms, sour cream, and white wine. Heat briefly then salt and pepper to taste.

BEEF STROGANOFF

- Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic, then finely grate the lemon zest. Clean and tear the mushrooms. Pick and finely chop the parsley.
- Place the beef between 2 sheets of clingfilm. Bash with a rolling pin until ½ cm thick, then cut into finger-width slices.
- Mix the paprika, lemon zest, and a pinch of sea salt and black pepper together, and use to dust the beef.
- In a large frying pan over a medium-low heat, fry the onion and garlic in a little oil until softened. Turn up the heat and add the mushrooms and butter, sautéing until the mushrooms are golden brown, then tip onto a plate Add a little oil to the pan and fry the beef for 2 minutes, turning, until browned but still pink inside. Stir in the mushroom-onion mixture, add the brandy and reduce for 1 minute or until almost disappeared. Remove from the heat and stir in the cream and parsley. Delicious serve with bread and gherkins.

- Cut beef across grain into about 1 1/2x1/2-inch strips.
- Cook mushrooms, onions and garlic in butter in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until onions are tender; remove from skillet.
- Cook beef in same skillet until brown. Stir in 1 cup of the broth, the salt and Worcestershire sauce. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.

Steps:
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add noodles and cook 5 to 7 minutes or until al dente; drain.
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in onions and garlic, and cook until slightly tender. Mix in mushrooms, and continue cooking 2 minutes. Place steak strips in saucepan and cook about 1 minute. Mix in consomme, Burgundy and lemon juice. Bring to a boil.
- In a small bowl, thoroughly blend flour with cold water until smooth. Reduce saucepan heat to low. While stirring constantly, slowly pour flour mixture into saucepan. Gradually return to boil while stirring rapidly, until sauce is thick and smooth. Cover saucepan and continue cooking 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, let cool slightly and stir in sour cream. Serve over cooked egg noodles.

- Cook the pasta according to package directions; drain and keep warm. Coat a large skillet with cooking spray and heat on medium-high. Cook and stir beef, half at a time, for 1-2 minutes or until browned. Season with pepper. Remove and keep warm. , In the same skillet, saute mushrooms and onion in oil until tender. Stir in flour. BEEF STROGANOFF 1960'S UPDATED FOR 2007
Steps:
- Slice beef in 1/2 in slices, about 1 in long. Heat a large pan on medium heat, melt butter in the olive oil. Cook onions until translucent,when translucent add meat, cook until brown (15min, depending on cut) add the rest of the butter, add mushrooms and garlic. While that is cooking, approx 10min, To a large bowl pour can of consumme, paprika, mustard, worcestershire sauce,and tomato paste and whisk until blended. Add the liquid mixture to the meat,onion,mushroom and garlic mixture. Cook on med/low for another 10min. Meanwhile start water for eggnoodles(follow directions on package) remember to add salt and pepper as you go along. Add sour cream shortly before serving, do not allow stroganoff to boil after adding sour cream. Serve over hot egg noodles.
BEEF STROGANOFF I
Stroganoff is a wonderful dish for guests; it is rich and creamy, but is simply and quickly prepared. Traditionally it is served with a rice pilaf, but is equally good over plain rice or egg noodles.
