- Heat oven to 375°F.
- Prepare Dinner as directed on package. Meanwhile, brown meat with garlic and oregano in large nonstick skillet; drain. Stir in tomatoes and beans.
- Spoon meat mixture into 13x9-inch baking dish; top with Dinner. Cover.
- Bake 30 min. or until heated through. Remove from oven. Top with cheese; let stand, covered, 5 min. or until melted.

BEEF & VEGETABLE CASSEROLE
A traditional braised beef stew with thick, rich gravy - an ideal recipe for cheap cuts, as slow-cooking guarantees a tender dish

Steps:
- Heat oven to 160C/140C fan/gas 3 and put the kettle on.
- Put 2 thickly sliced celery sticks, 1 chopped onion, 2 chunkily sliced carrots, 5 bay leaves and 1 whole thyme sprig in a flameproof casserole dish with 1 tbsp vegetable oil and 1 tbsp butter.
- Soften for 10 mins, then stir in 2 tbsp plain flour until it doesn't look dusty anymore, followed by 2 tbsp tomato purée, 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce and 2 crumbled beef stock cubes.
- Gradually stir in 600ml hot water, then tip in 850g stewing beef and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Cover and put in the oven for 2hrs 30 mins, then uncover and cook for 30mins - 1hr more until the meat is really tender and the sauce is thickened.
- Garnish with the picked leaves of the remaining thyme sprig.

- Preheat oven to 350°. Cook pasta according to package directions for al dente; drain. Meanwhile, in a Dutch oven, cook and crumble beef and sausage with onion and pepper over medium-high heat until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are tender, 6-8 minutes; drain., Stir in pasta sauce, pizza sauce and brown sugar. RICH BEEF CASSEROLE

- Preheat oven to 160°C (140°C fan) mark 3. Pat beef dry with kitchen paper and season. Heat 1½tbsp of the oil in a large ovenproof casserole dish and brown beef in batches. Set aside.
- Heat remaining oil and fry the shallots for 2-3min until golden, then add the portobello mushrooms and fry for 2-3min until softened.
- Return beef to the pan with any juices and stir in the flour. Add the wine, stock, dried mushrooms, thyme and bay leaf. Bring to the boil, then cover and cook in oven for 2hr or until beef is tender.
- Strain the stew, reserve beef mixture and return liquid to the pan. In a small bowl, mix together cornflour and 3tbsp water. Add to the pan and heat on the hob. Boil the sauce for 4-5min, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens. Add the strained beef mixture and heat through (don't boil or the meat will toughen). I found this recipe on the box of instant rice. I have definitely added it to my recipe collection! This is a fairly quick dish to put together and tastes great! We prefer to make this with venison instead of ground beef but both are good!

- 1. Brown beef; drain. Add tomato sauce, 1 tsp. salt, garlic, onion, and green pepper. Simmer 1-2 minutes. Bring water to a boil, and add rice and remaining salt. Cover let stand for 5 minutes. BEEF CASSEROLE
This comforting beef casserole is a perfect winter warmer and, although it seems rich, it is actually suitable for a low-calorie diet of 1200-1500 calories a day. Each serving provides 429 kcal, 43g protein, 18g carbohydrates (of which 11g sugars), 16g fat (of which 5g saturates), 6g fibre and 1g salt.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4. Season the beef well with salt and pepper.
- Heat half of the oil in a large, non-stick frying pan and fry the beef in two batches for 2-3 minutes, or until browned on all sides. Transfer to a casserole dish using a slotted spoon or spatula once each batch is done.
- Add the remaining oil and the onions to the pan and fry over a medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes, or until lightly browned. Place the onions into the casserole dish and sprinkle with the flour and dried herbs. Toss well together.
- Pour the red wine and stock into the casserole dish and add the tomato purée and bay leaf. Stir well and bring to a simmer on the hob. Cover with a lid and bake in the oven for 1½ hours.
- Carefully remove the casserole from the oven and stir in the carrots and mushrooms. Cover and bake for a further 45 minutes, or until the beef and vegetables are just tender.
- Meanwhile, to make the kale mashed potato, place the potatoes into a large saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil and cook for about 15 minutes, or until very tender. Drain well then return to the saucepan. Mash with the butter and milk until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place the kale into a saucepan and add 500ml/18fl oz water. Cover with a lid and bring to the boil for 5 minutes, or until tender, removing the lid and stirring the kale three or four times as it cooks. Drain well then stir into the mash.
- Serve the kale mash alongside the casserole, garnished with the parsley.
