BEEF, BEAN AND MACARONI CHILI



Beef, Bean and Macaroni Chili image

1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 small onion chopped
2 cups canned tomatoes
2 cups canned kidney beans, drained
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon chili powder
3/4 cup uncooked elbow macaroni

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef and onions in pan until lightly browned. Drain off fat. Add tomatoes, kidney beans, water, chili powder, and macaroni to beef mixture. Simmer, covered, about 20 minutes until macaroni is tender. Stir occasionally to keep from sticking. Add additional water during cooking if necessary. Serve hot.

1/4 cup chopped onion
1 cup canned diced tomatoes

1 small garlic clove, minced
3/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish

Steps:

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. , Add the tomatoes, tomato juice, beans, garlic, chili powder, salt, oregano and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. , Drain macaroni; add to beef mixture. Stir in pickle relish; heat through.

1 (14.5 ounce) can Mexican or chili-style stewed tomatoes, undrained

2 cups elbow macaroni or small shells, cooked and drained

  • Stove Top Directions :.
