THE BEST GARLIC BREAD
This is the best garlic bread I have ever tasted. Adjust the ingredients as necessary until the mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese and garlic powder mixture is a paste-like consistency.

BETTER-THAN-DOMINOS GARLIC BREAD
Recipe video above. Nothing beats homemade garlic bread!! Takeout will never taste as good because the garlic is not fresh so the preservatives give it a sour flavour. For the ultimate Garlic Bread experience, skip the fancy artisan bread and use an economical French stick / baguette with a softish thin crust instead.

THE WORLD'S BEST ROASTED GARLIC BREAD
Provided by Chelsea Miller
Yield 1 loaf
Number Of Ingredients 8
Steps:
- In a large bowl or in the bowl of your stand mixer, stir together the water, yeast, and sugar. Set aside for about ten minutes, or until foamy.
- Add the salt, garlic powder, and 1 tablespoon olive oil to the yeast mixture and stir to combine.
- If using a mixer, use the dough hook attachment and add the flour about 1/2 cup at a time. Continuing adding flour until the dough pulls away from the edge of the bowl and is just a little sticky to touch. Knead with the dough hook on low speed for about five minutes. To knead by hand, stir in flour 1/2 cup at a time until it becomes to difficult to stir. Turn the dough onto a well-floured surface and continue to knead in the flour a bit at a time, until barely sticky to the touch.
- Oil a large bowl with a little olive oil. Add the dough to the bowl and turn to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and leave in a warm place to rise until doubled, about an hour to an hour and a half.
- While the dough is rising, roast the garlic. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the garlic cloves on a piece of foil large enough to wrap around them. Pour 2 tablespoons olive oil over the cloves and wrap the foil tightly around them. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cloves are just soft. Roughly dice the cloves.
- After dough has risen, punch it down. Move one oven rack to the bottom of the oven, another to the middle. Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C). Lightly oil and flour a baking sheet.
- On a lightly floured surface, knead the garlic cloves into the dough. Form the dough into a loaf on the baking sheet. Cover and let rise until almost doubled, about 45 minutes to an hour.
- Once risen, lightly sprinkle the top with flour. Using a sharp knife, make three diagonal slits in the loaf.
- Place an empty rimmed baking sheet on the bottom rack in the oven. Place the baking sheet with the shaped dough on the middle rack. Before closing the oven door, pour 1/2 cup water onto the empty sheet pan on the bottom rack. Close the oven door quickly to trap the steam. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
THE BEST GARLIC BREAD YOU'LL EVER HAVE
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Slice bread in half lengthwise and place on a large baking sheet, cut sides up.
- In a medium bowl, mix butter, garlic, parsley and salt together until well combined. Spread evenly over bread.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until slightly golden brown on the edges. If you want to add cheese, add it the last 2 minutes of baking. If you like a crispier garlic bread, bake for 3-5 minutes more, watching carefully until it is as golden as you like.

THE BEST GARLIC BREAD
We went very classic with this garlic bread recipe-lots of butter and lots of garlic loaded onto warm, soft and pillowy French bread. You could make a light meal by rounding it out with a crisp green salad. Or serve it our favorite way-alongside your favorite red-sauce pasta.

Steps:
- Arrange a rack in the center of oven and preheat to 450 degrees F.
- Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until the butter is golden and the garlic is very fragrant, about 3 minutes.
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise. Liberally brush the crust with the garlic butter. Turn the bread cut-side up. Slice each loaf crosswise at 2-inch intervals without cutting all the way through, making "pull-apart" garlic bread. Liberally brush the cut sides of the bread with more garlic butter, spreading any remaining garlic evenly over top. You should use all the garlic butter. Carefully transfer the bread to a rimmed baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the loaves with the Parmesan and a pinch of salt and bake until the edges of the bread are a deep golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes. Top with the parsley. Serve warm.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cut top from each head of garlic, exposing the cloves. Place heads of garlic (cut side up), on a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil. Pour olive oil over them, and top with thyme springs. Season with salt and pepper. Wrap the foil tightly. Place in a small ovenproof pan, and bake until the cloves begin to pop out, about 1 hour. Remove from the oven and cool.
- To remove the cloves, open the foil and squeeze the lower part of the head of garlic. In a small bowl, mash the cloves to form a paste. (At this point the paste can be used or stored in the refrigerator or freezer.)
- Add butter and chopped thyme to the bowl, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Toast both sides of the bread, using a hot grill, grill pan, or broiler. Spread the roasted garlic butter paste onto the toasted bread. Serve immediately.

- In a large mixing bowl, add warm water, and then add yeast and sugar to it. Be sure the water is not too hot or it will kill your yeast. Stir it and set it aside.
- Let the yeast mixture sit about 5 minutes. Watch for yeast to foam, if it does not foam, your yeast is dead, your water is too hot, or something went wrong, so toss it out and start again with water that is warm to the touch but not burning.
- Once yeast foams, add in butter flavoring to the mixing bow (Optional: Only do this step if you are using it, don't worry, it is good without it too).
- Then using a stand mixer, or hand mixer, on low speed, gradually stir in the flour and salt. I used a kitchen aid, and a bread hook, and it worked well. Add 1/2 a cup at a time until fully incorporated.

- Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a small bowl, combine the butter, Parmesan, garlic, parsley and salt.
- Cut the baguette into 1/2-inch or so slices, but don’t cut all the way though the bread; the goal is for the slices to remain attached at the bottom. One easy way to keep yourself from cutting through the bread is to place a chopstick alongside each side of the bread and slice the bread stopping when the knife hits the chopsticks. You can use the handles of wooden spoons as well.
- Spread the garlic butter on each side of all of the slices of the bread, trying to keep the bread attached at the bottom.
- Place the baguette on a large piece of foil and pull the foil up around the sides of the bread, but not over the top—you want the top to be able to brown.
