BBQ Pork Steaks in the Oven image

BBQ Pork Steaks Recipe in the Oven: Pork Steak Recipes can be so easy and this one can be made with little effort, showing you how and how to bake!

Provided by Jessica Burgess

Categories     Main Course

Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 pork steaks or pork shoulders
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)
1 16 oz. bottle of barbecue sauce (I use Sweet Baby Rays)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Rub salt and pepper on both sides of each pork steak if desired
  • Line a baking pan (large enough to fit the number of steaks you're cooking, so they don't overlap) with aluminum foil.
  • Drizzle half a bottle of barbeque sauce on the aluminum foil where you'll place each steak.
  • Place your steaks down on the foil and sauce, and then cover steaks with remaining bbq sauce.
  • Bake the pork steaks at 400 degrees, uncovered for 50-60 minutes, (on the middle rack) or until the internal temperature of the steaks reaches 145 degrees. NOTE: Oven temperatures can vary, and some have reported that they prefer baking at 350 for 50-60 minutes, or checking the internal temp after 30 minutes to avoid over-baking.
  • Serve alongside your desired side dish or one our favorites HERE!

Provided by Good Food team

Time 17m

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 tsp tomato ketchup
2 tbsp dark muscovado sugar
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tsp paprika
4 pork loin steaks , trimmed of any fat
4 corn on the cobs
1 tbsp butter

Steps:

  • Boil a large pan of water for the corn. Make a sauce by mixing the ketchup, sugar and vinegar with half the paprika. Heat a non-stick frying pan, then brown the pork for 3-4 mins on each side. Spoon over the sauce halfway through cooking and turn the steaks in it until the pork is cooked through and sticky.
  • Meanwhile, tip the corn into the boiling water and cook for 5-8 mins until tender. Stir the remaining paprika into the butter in a heatproof bowl and microwave on High for 15-20 secs until the paprika is sizzling in the melted butter (alternatively, just melt the smoky butter in a small pan). Drain the corn, brush over the butter, then serve with the sticky pork steaks and a green salad.

GRILLED PORK STEAKS RECIPE

Grilled Pork Steaks Recipe image

Pork steak makes sense for anyone with a passion for barbecue as it uses the same primal cuts of meat involved in preparing pulled pork. This recipe covers everything you need to know to make a quality pork steak, except for quantifying the number or weight of the steaks to be cooked.

Provided by cavetools

Categories     Main Course

Number Of Ingredients 9

Cola, dark, 4 oz
Cola, clear, 4 oz
Juice, apple, 1-2 cups (depending on number of steaks)
Salt, kosher, 1/2 cup
Water, as needed
Salt
Pepper
All-Purpose Rub
Your favorite barbecue sauce

Steps:

  • Brine the pork steaks within a mixture of dark cola, clear cola, apple juice, kosher salt and just enough water to fill your brining vessel.
  • Allow them to brine for several hours, up to 3 days if you feel like it.
  • Rinse off the brine from the steaks, pat them as dry as possible and then lay them out on a tray.
  • Sprinkle the meat with either salt and pepper or the rub.
  • Sear each steak over direct heat, roughly 10 minutes per side.
  • Dab sauce onto one side of the steak, flip it over and apply sauce to the reverse side.
  • Feel free to repeat this step if you love sauce.
  • Close up every vent in your grill, allow the sauce to set into the steaks for 5 minutes and then take them out of the grill.
  • Allow the steaks to rest between 5 and 10 minutes before you do any cutting.

  • To get started, you’ll start by applying an even coat of Grilla Grill’s All Purpose Rub on both sides of the pork steaks. Preheat your Kong to 275 degrees Fahrenheit and place your pork steaks on. Don’t worry about any edges that hang over, this will give them a nice flavorful char.
  • Start by cooking them for about 20 minutes on the first side and after the first 20, you’ll want to flip them. Just be sure to keep an eye out for any pieces that are hanging over the edge to make sure they don’t burn. Once your meat hits a minimum of 145 degrees internal temperature, you are set to go.
  • You’re looking at a 45-minute total cook time from start to finish. To add a bit of spice to this sweet and savory meat, drizzle on a touch of our Kongo Kick to enhance the flavor, or for a more savory flavor, try our Gold N’ Bold sauce.

TOP 10 PORK MARINADE RECIPES - THE SPRUCE EATS

From thespruceeats.com
  • Pork Chop Marinade. This Asian-style marinade works well on all cuts of pork but yields particularly moist and tasty pork chops. It is reminiscent of a teriyaki marinade with a hint of heat from the chili sauce.
  • Pineapple Marinade. This sweet, fruity marinade works great on any cut of pork. You'll get a great Hawaiian-teriyaki flavor, perfect for when you're serving a simple pork-over-rice dish.
  • Pork Chop and Tenderloin Marinade. Ideal for either chops or tenderloin cuts, this Asian-inspired marinade combines the best of savory flavors (peanuts, soy, and Worcestershire sauce) with fresh ginger and earthy liquid smoke.
  • Jamaican Jerk Marinade. Jamaican jerk seasonings and jerk rubs provide amazing Caribbean flavors to the outsides of meats, but our marinade gets that great jerk flavor deep into the meat.
  • Mustard-Vinegar Marinade. Like a delicious mustard-based salad dressing, this marinade is a nice break from the typical. The acidity of the vinegar and Dijon mustard tenderize the meat, adding flavor while the porks marinates.
  • Teriyaki Marinade. Avoid all the preservatives in store-bought Teriyaki sauces by making your own in a snap. Our marinade doubles as a sauce. Simply cook it until it's thickened and use on top of your cooked pork or any other meat.
  • Boston Butt Injection Marinade. Injecting is a method for adding flavor and moisture right into the meat. They're great in pork roasts that will be smoked and pulled, but you need to grind the herbs and spices in the sauce carefully so they won't clog the injection needle.
  • Pork Rib Marinade. By using a pre-made pork rub and combining it with vinegar and water, the rub "magically" turns into a marinade! This is a great way to add flavor to ribs, regardless of how they are cooked.
  • Bourbon Marinade. This sweet bourbon marinade is amazing on any type of meat. Although it is comprised of strong flavors like bourbon, brown sugar, mustard, oil, and Worcestershire sauce, the end result is actually somewhat mild.
  • Pork Marinade for Stir-Fry. Our quick Chinese marinade for stir-fry will add wonderful notes of sherry (or Chinese rice wine) to your pork. If you're pressed for time, use this recipe and have wonderfully flavorful pork in no-time.
