Steps:
- Make meatballs: To make the meatballs, mix all ingredients in a large bowl (I use a hand mixer with the dough hook attachements for easy and mess-free work) and shape into small meatballs. I use 1 teaspoon meat mix per meatball for a good appetizer size; make sure to firmly shape the meatballs or they disintegrate in the sauce.
- Cook meatballs: Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat and add some oil. Cook the meatballs until browned on the outside and entirely cooked through. OR bake the meatballs at 425°F for 10-12 minutes.
- Slow cook with sauce: Once the meatballs are cooked, mix all sauce ingredients together in a 3-4 quart slow cooker. Add the meatballs and cook on low for 3-4 hours. The meatballs keep in the slow cooker for another 1-2 hours.

Steps:
- In a medium fry pan, cook bacon till crisp. remove and place on paper towels to rid excess bacon fat. Keeping the drippings from the bacon in the pan add the onion and saute for about 5 min, just enough to release the flavor of the onion. Allow the onions and bacon to cool completely. Meanwhile combine the ground beef, oats, cheese, evaporated milk, salt and pepper in a bowl, mix well with hands. When onions and bacon(crumble up the bacon) are cooled add to the mixture. Better to let flavors marinate overnight in the refridgerator in a covered bowl. When ready to bake heat oven to 375, remove mixture from fridge then spray a deep casserole dish with cooking spray(depending on the size of your dish, you may need two or cook them in batches). Begin making mini-meatballs, I make them about 2 tablespoons full big, rolling them between hands and placing them into the casserole dish, once the meatballs are all rolled and in the dish pour over the bbq sauce, and bake for 45min uncovered. allow to cool before eating and serve with toothpicks. (makes about 45 meatballs) My family loves them! they taste just like a mini bbq bacon cheeseburger!!!!
