1 Tablespoon brown sugar
1 Tablespoon sweet paprika
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
salt and pepper
4 lbs bone in skin on chicken drumsticks
1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
vegetable oil spray

Steps:

  • Combine your sugar, seasonings and spices.
  • Pour seasonings into a gallon sized baggie and place your chicken in the bag a few pieces at a time. Close the bag and shake to coat.
  • Place your coated chicken in your slow cooker (it is okay to overlap.)
  • Drizzle 1/2 c barbecue sauce over the chicken and toss to coat them evenly.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, until your chicken is tender.
  • Place your oven rack 10 inches from your broiler element and turn on your broiler.
  • Cover a cookie sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Arrange chicken on the prepared baking sheet..
  • Brush 1/2 c barbecue sauce on chicken and broil 1-5 minutes, until chicken is crisp and slightly charred.
  • Turn chicken legs to opposite side and brush with 1/2 c barbecue sauce and broil for additional 1-5 minutes until second side is crisp and slightly charred.

3/4 cup ketchup
1/3 cup orange juice
1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup water
2.5 tablespoons cornstarch
8-10 chicken drumsticks

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, stir together all the ingredients except the chicken.
  • Place chicken in a large slow cooker set on low heat.
  • Pour the ketchup mixture over the chicken, using a spoon to make sure all the chicken is coated.
  • Cook for 5-6 hours on low or until chicken is fully cooked.
  • After chicken is cooked, you can serve as is or take 2 cups of the bbq sauce/cooking liquid and heat in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer until it's thickened to your liking.

1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 1/2 cups bbq sauce (divided)

Steps:

  • In a small bowl combine the paprika, cumin, and garlic salt. Stir to combine.
  • Sprinkle over the drum sticks and rub all over chicken skin.
  • Place chicken drumsticks in slow cooker.
  • Pour 1 cup of barbeque sauce over the chicken drum sticks.
  • Cover and cook on low 4-6 hours until the chicken is tender. (You can cook on high if you prefer but reduce the hours on high.)
  • When finished place the chicken on a cookie sheet lined with foil and cooking spray.
  • Brush half of the bbq sauce on the drum sticks. Broil for 1-5 minutes until it begins to brown.
  • Remove from oven, flip the drumsticks, and brush with the remaining bbq sauce.
  • Broil another 1-5 minutes until brown.
  • Serve hot. Enjoy!

2 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon sweet paprika
1 teaspoon dried parsley
½ tablespoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
4 pounds skil-on (bone-in chicken drumsticks)
1 ½ cups barbecue sauce of choice
Vegetable oil spray

Steps:

  • In a small bowl mix together sugar, paprika, mustard, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon pepper. Set aside.
  • Trim and pat chicken drumsticks dry.
  • Rub seasoning mix all over the chicken until it is well coated.
  • Put chicken in a 5 quart slow cooker, and pour ½ a cup of barbecue sauce over the top.
  • Cover and cook until chicken is tender 4 to 6 hours on low.
  • Position your oven rack 10 inches from the broiler.
  • Preheat oven to broil on high. Line a baking sheet with foil, and place a wire rack over the top. Spray rack with cooking spray.
  • Take chicken out of slow cooker, and place on the rack over the lined cooking sheet. Discard and cooking liquid in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Brush chicken with ½ cup of barbecue sauce, and broil until crisp (10-15 minutes)
  • Flip the chicken over and brush with the remaining sauce. Broil for another 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve.

5 pounds chicken drumsticks
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
1 cup barbeque sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Grease a baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Arrange chicken drumsticks on the baking pan. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning, poultry seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper over chicken. Sprinkle flour on top. Spray cooking spray over chicken. Cover baking pan with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until juices run clear, about 2 1/2 hours. Uncover and spread barbeque sauce evenly over chicken.

1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon celery salt
½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
2 ½ - 3 pounds bone-in, skin-on chicken drumsticks

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the garlic salt, onion salt, celery salt, and poultry seasoning. Sprinkle the seasoning evenly over the drumsticks and rub it in to coat all sides. (Freezing instructions begin here.)
  • Place seasoned drumsticks in the crockpot. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours, until cooked through. (Chicken is done when it's 165°F internally.)
  • Position the top oven rack about 6 inches below the broiler. Preheat the broiler. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  • Use tongs to place the drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet; discard any liquid remaining in the cooker. Broil until the chicken starts to brown and look crispy, 2 to 3 minutes. Flip the chicken over, and broil until the skin begins to brown and look crispy, 2 to 3 minutes more.
