BANANAS FOSTER (COCKTAIL)

Steps:

• 1. Chop the bananas in pieces. Place the bananas and other ingredients in a blender. Pulse or blend until the mixture is smooth. Swirl caramel syrup in the glasses. Divide the mixture between the glasses (I used Rocks glasses). Drizzle with more caramel, then sprinkle cinnamon-sugar on top. Enjoy!
• 2. * You might need another scoop of ice cream, depending on how thick you want it.

BANANAS FOSTER II

Steps:

• In a large, deep skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in sugar, rum, vanilla and cinnamon. When mixture begins to bubble, place bananas and walnuts in pan. Cook until bananas are hot, 1 to 2 minutes. Serve at once over vanilla ice cream.

SPIKED BANANAS FOSTER NICE CREAM

Steps:

• Cut bananas lengthwise, then cut each slice in half.
• Combine butter, sugar and cinnamon in a skillet. Cook over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
• Stir in banana liqueur, then place banana slices in the pan and cook until they start to brown.
• Add 2 ounces of dark rum and carefully tip pan to ignite.
• Wait until flames subside, then remove bananas from pan.
• Set two banana slices aside, then add remaining bananas to a blender and blend.
• Add up to 6 ounces dark rum and blend again. Make sure the consistency doesn't get too loose. Add 2-4 ounces of milk if using. Blend again.
• Pour the mix into freezer-safe tub and fold in a handful of nuts.
• Chill for at least an hour, or until set.
• Scoop into a bowl, garnish with reserved bananas and more nuts.

BANANAS FOSTER COCKTAIL

Steps:

• In a rocks glass filled with ice, stir together all ingredients.
• Garnish with banana.

BANANAS FOSTER

Steps:

• Melt the butter in a heavy skillet over a medium-high heat. Add the brown sugar. Stir together and cook for a minute or two. Pour in the cream and stir it around to combine.
• Peel the bananas and slice them on the bias inside the peel. Drop the slices into the pan. Next, add the chopped nuts and stir them into the sauce. Then - and this is where you need to be a little careful - stir in the rum. Let it start to bubble, and then carefully use a long lighter to ignite it. (Be sure to have a lid handy in case you need to extinguish the flame.) Let the fire burn and go out (it'll only take about 30 seconds or so), and then stir in the cinnamon at the end. You may also cook the mixture without flambeing it.
• Spoon it over a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream and enjoy immediately.
• Spoon bananas Foster over French toast, waffles or crepes. Substitute peaches, pears or cherries for the bananas. Of course, then it probably wouldn't be considered bananas Foster.
