BANANA POPSICLE

Banana Popsicle image

This is an adult cocktail. The vanilla vodka really makes a difference in this drink. I used plain vodka with a dash of vanilla and that worked too. The vanilla makes a difference and gives it the popsicle flavor.

1 ounce banana liqueur

BANANA ORANGE JUICE POPSICLES

Banana Orange Juice Popsicles image

Delicious and healthy frozen treats, and a good way to use those last three bananas on the counter. Cook time includes freezing time.

Provided by Lise in Indiana

Categories     Frozen Desserts

Time 6h3m

Yield 12 pops

Number Of Ingredients 4

3 bananas, ripe
1 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1 tablespoon lime juice
2 tablespoons sugar or 2 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • Puree all ingredients together in a blender or food processor (or use a stick blender) until smooth.
  • Pour into molds and freeze several hours, or overnight.
  • To unmold, run warm water over each mold for a few seconds, until the popsicle will release.
  • You can also use small paper cups: pour in the mixture and cover the cups with plastic wrap or foil, poke a flat wooden spoon or plastic spoon into the mixture, allowing the wrap or foil to support the "stick", place on a tray and freeze till solid, remove wrap or foil and peel away the paper cup.
  • Enjoy - but have the kids eat them OUTSIDE!

  • Blend all of the ingredients together on high speed until smooth – about 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed as you go.
  • Pour the mixture into popsicle molds. If your popsicle mold has slots for sticks, you can insert them before freezing – if not, freeze for 2 hours, then put a wooden popsicle stick in the middle (that is what I did). Continue to freeze for an additional 6 hours or overnight – overnight is recommended for easy removal.
