Ingredients

2 overripe fresh or frozen bananas, chopped, plus fresh banana slices, for garnish
1/4 cup very cold whole milk
2 shots bourbon
1 pint best-quality vanilla ice cream
Whipped cream, for garnish
4 graham crackers, crushed
Ground cinnamon, for garnish, optional

Steps:

Chill 2 tall glasses.
Add the overripe bananas, milk and bourbon to a blender and blend until combined. Add the ice cream and blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into the chilled glasses. Top with whipped cream, banana slices, graham cracker bits and cinnamon if using.

This is a very simple and easy way to make banana ice cream. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as my family does and I do. You can also substitute the banana with a different fruit, but i find it tastes best with banana.

4 bananas, sliced
½ cup milk
½ cup heavy whipping cream

Steps:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange banana slices on paper and freeze until solid, 3 to 5 hours.
Peel bananas from the parchment paper and place in the blender. Add milk and cream and blend until smooth; transfer to a sealable container and freeze until set, about 2 hours.

The riper the banana, the naturally sweeter but also stronger the banana taste. My friend prefers almost green banana ice cream. I prefer riper and sweeter. You can put frozen banana only (no other ingredients at all) in a mini food processor by itself. That is a 1 ingredient treat. All the ingredients besides banana are optional. This recipe is one my husband loves. He doesn't like the simple versions.

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 scoop protein powder
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 packet stevia powder

Steps:

Freeze sliced banana for 6 hours.
Blend banana and coconut milk together in a small food processor or small blender until just smooth. Add cocoa powder, protein powder, peanut butter, maple syrup, and stevia powder; blend until smooth.
