Steps:
- In a bowl, add the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add the water and oil and combine with a hand whisk. The consistency should be thick, like heavy cream and be able to coat a spoon. If it is too thick, add a drop more water, too thin, add a little more flour. Set aside.
- Heat a pan with vegetable oil until it reaches 180 C or 350 F. Make sure you do not over fill the pan with oil. I use a small saucepan and cook in batches, filling the pan 1/3rd deep with cooking oil.
- Whilst the oil is heating up. peel the banana, cut in half and then slice length ways in half so you have 4 pieces. Dip each piece in the batter so it is fully coated and carefully place in the pan, cooking both sides until golden brown. ** To tell if the oil is hot enough, drop a tiny bit of batter, the size of a pea in to the oil. If it sizzles and floats to the top immediately, the oil is hot enough.
- Place the fritters on some kitchen paper then dip into a bowl with sugar to coat.
- Serve immediately as they are or with some syrup drizzled over the top or a blob of ice cream!

Steps:
- Remove the peels from the bananas and slice them 1/2" inch thick.
- Set a nonstick skillet over medium to medium high heat** and add the oil or butter, honey, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.
- Add the banana slices, and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden and caramelized. Be sure to watch the heat and turn it down if it browns too quickly. You want enough heat to caramelize and brown the slices, but you don't want them to burn.
- Once the bananas are cooked you can enjoy them as is, or with marshmallow creme and peanut butter in a sandwich, with Bananas Foster French Toast, in oatmeal or yogurt, over ice cream, and more. Enjoy!

(Can be prepared up to 1 day ahead. Cover and chill.)
- Pour vegetable oil into heavy medium saucepan to depth of 1 1/2 inches. Attach deep-fry thermometer and heat oil to 350°F. Insert fork into 1 banana slice and transfer to oil. Repeat with 5 banana slices. Fry until crisp and golden on all sides, about 3 minutes. Using slotted spoon, transfer fritters to paper-towel-lined plate to drain. Repeat with remaining bananas in 2 more batches. Divide fritters among 6 plates. Drizzle with honey and serve warm with ice cream.

- In a mixing bowl, combine the self-raising flour, corn flour, sugar, milk and melted butter using a wooden spoon or metal whisk.
- Then add water gradually, mix well until the batter is smooth and thick (read Recipe Notes #1 and #2 below). You may not need to use all the water, but if you require more, be sure to add in small amounts.
- Fill a wok one-quarter full with oil. Heat till medium hot (180 deg C) or until a small piece of bread fries golden brown in 15 seconds when dropped in the oil. Dip the banana pieces, 3 to 4 at a time, into the batter, and coat evenly all over with batter. Spoon and drop the pieces carefully into the hot oil. Fry until they turn golden brown on all sides, between 3 to 4 minutes. Scoop out and drain on a wire rack or paper towels. Repeat in batches until all the banana pieces have been fried (read Recipe Notes #3).

- In a small mixing bowl, mix together all ingredients for the batter (Rice flour, All purpose flour or maida, salt, and turmeric) with approximately half a cup of water. Pour in the water a little at a time and mix it all in using a wire whisk, making sure there are no lumps.
- Pour oil in a deep frying pan and heat over medium heat on stove top. There should be enough oil to submerge the banana fritters and there should be enough space(in your pan) for the oil to rise when you add the banana pieces.
- Typically, the whole banana is slit length wise, batter dipped and fried. To make it easy to handle, cut the bananas into half, horizontally. Now, slice each half into three pieces lengthwise. This would give you 6 pieces from each of the banana. You can do this step while you are waiting for the oil to heat up.
- When the oil is sufficiently hot (see Recipe Notes), dip the banana slice in the batter, and deep fry. You can add as many pieces as your deep frying pan will hold Make sure that you can flip the pieces comfortably.

- Pour the oil into a saucepan and place over medium heat. Heat the oil to 180°C, or until a cube of bread dropped into the oil turns golden in 15 seconds.
- Set aside 75g (½ cup) of the flour in a bowl. Sift the remaining flour and the bicarbonate of soda into a large bowl, then add 435ml (1¾ cups) water and whisk to a smooth batter.
- Peel the bananas and cut them in half widthways, then cut each piece in half lengthways. Working in batches, dust each banana piece in the flour, shaking off the excess, then dip them into the batter, draining off the excess.
- Deep-fry the fritters in batches for 5–6 minutes each time, or until the batter is golden and crisp. Briefly drain n paper towels and serve hot with a scoop of ice cream, drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with pecans.
BANANA FRITTERS WITH GREEN TEA ICE CREAM – EASY SNACKS
From easysnackstomake.net
- To make the ice-cream, place sugar and ? cup cold water in a saucepan and stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Simmer for 2 minutes, then remove from heat. Mix 1 tablespoon of syrup with the tea, then add to syrup in saucepan. Cool completely.
- Whip the thickened cream. Mix with thin cream and tea syrup. Pour mixture into a shallow container and freeze until frozen at edges. Remove from freezer and beat with an electric beater. Pour back into container and re-freeze. Repeat 2 or 3 times. (Alternatively use an ice-cream maker following manufacturer's directions.)
- Sift ½ cup plain flour and the cornflour into a bowl. Add a pinch of salt, the egg and ½ cup cold water. Whisk to a smooth batter with a hand whisk, then set aside.
- Half fill a deep-fryer or large heavy-based saucepan with oil and heat to 190°C. (If you lack a deep-fryer thermometer, test a cube of bread - it will turn golden in 30 seconds if the oil is hot enough.) Peel bananas, cut each in half across the centre and toss in remaining flour to coat. Working in batches, dip each piece of banana in batter, then carefully drop in the hot oil. Fry for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown (you may need to turn the pieces over halfway through cooking). Dust with icing sugar and serve hot with ice-cream.
