2 1/4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup mashed banana
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon sugar, mixed with the cinnamon

Steps:

  • sift flour, sugar, baking powder, soda salt.
  • add shortening mix.
  • then add eggs,bananas, vanilla and blend well.
  • drop on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  • bake at 400F degrees for 12 minutes.

1 egg, slightly beaten
1 ripe banana
1/4 cup sugar
4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons margarine, softened
1/2 teaspoon banana extract
about 2 cups self-rising flour
1 large granulated decorator sugar candy sprinkles (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine egg, ripe banana, sugar, softened butter or margarine, banana extract in a mixing bowl; mix well. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Turn out onto a floured surface; knead lightly a few times. Gently pat dough out and cut out with a biscuit cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees about 15 min-18 minutes.

This is a recipe I got out of my husband's collection, so I am unsure of its origin. I have made them a few times now and they are so delicious! They remind me of banana muffins somewhat and they are super simple to make! They make a great breakfast or snack.

1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
5 tablespoons margarine, softened
1 cup mashed banana (about 1 1/2 large bananas)
1/4 cup orange juice

Steps:

  • Grease and flour baking sheets.
  • Process oats in blender or food processor at medium speed til finely ground. (about 1 minute).
  • Combine oats, flour, wheat germ, sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in large bowl.
  • Use knives or pastry blender to cut in margarine until mixture forms coarse crumbs.
  • Add bananas and orange juice to bowl and stir.
  • Cover and chill dough for 20 minutes in the freezer.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Drop dough by teaspoonfulls 1 1/2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
  • Let sit a couple of minutes to cool and set, then move them to racks to finish cooling completely.

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons sliced almonds (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.2. In large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder. With pastry blender, cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside.3. In medium-size bowl, stir together KELLOGG'S COMPLETE Wheat Bran Flakes cereal, bananas, and the 1/3 cup milk. Let stand 2 minutes or until cereal softens. Add egg whites and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour mixture, stirring only until combined. Using 1/4-cup measure, drop dough into 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with sugar-cinnamon mixture.4. Bake at 400°F about 25 minutes or until golden brown.5. To make glaze, combine powdered sugar, the 1 tablespoon milk, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla until smooth. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup butter or 2/3 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup mashed ripe banana (2-3 bananas)
1 (14 -24 ounce) bag chocolate chips (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a small, separate bowl.
  • Beat shortening in larger bowl until creamed, adding sugar. Stir in vanilla.
  • Beat in eggs.
  • Add flour mixture alternately with mashed bananas, beating after each addition until smooth.

1 cup butter flavor shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs (slightly beaten)
1 cup mashed banana
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
1/3 cup butter
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Mix shortening, sugar and eggs, mixing well.
  • Stir in bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla.
  • Stir in dry ingredients and nuts.
  • Chill dough for 1 hour.
