I found this cocktail recipe on a website called the Greecelogue. This is one of my favorite Ouzo discoveries, because it's is a tasty cocktail that I really enjoy sipping while I'm relaxing and have time to read a good book or unwind after a busy day. It's served in a cordial glass or small cocktail glass.

Ingredients

1/3 ounce Jagermeister (chilled)
1/3 ounce banana liqueur
1/2 ounce coconut rum
1/3 ounce ouzo
3 -4 ice cubes
1/3 ounce blue curacao
2 cherries (for garnish)

Steps:

In a cocktail shaker, add the chilled Jägermeister, banana liqueur, coconut rum and ouzo. Shake a few times, just enough to mix ingredients.
Add ice to the shaker, then strain cocktail into a cocktail glass.
Carefully add the blue Curacao to the cocktail glass. Garnish with two cherries, and enjoy.

Cherry cordial is perfect for sipping on brisk autumn days. Serve one of the spirited cheries in each tiny cordial glass of liqueur. Choose ripe fruit free of bruises and spoilage. Setting time not included in preparation time. From an old newspaper clipping.

Ingredients

2 lbs cherries (Bing preferred but any fresh cherries will do)
2 cups sugar
3 whole allspice
1 cup brandy
1 cup rum

Steps:

Combine fruit, sugar and allspice in a bowl.
Add brandy and rum; pour into a sterilized glass jar or crock.
Allow to stand one or two months in a cool room or in the refrigerator.
When the cordial is ready for bottling, strain fruit out and bottle for storage (don't throw the fruit away -- sweeten and thicken it for serving over ice cream or cake for the big kids in the family).
