1 (7 1/4 ounce) package macaroni and cheese mix, prepared according to package directions
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
1 lb Little Smokies sausage
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup or 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon minced parsley
4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded (1 cup)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Combine all ingredients except for shredded cheese in a mixing bowl.
  • Pour into a small, greased casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle cheese evenly on top.
  • Bake, uncovered, until heated through (20 minutes).

Baked Lil' Smokies N Homemade Mac-N-Cheese image

This is a great kid-pleasing meal. You can make it ahead and refrigerate it until you are ready to pop it into the oven. I actually came up with this one day when I realized I had to make a pack of smokies or throw them out (But alas, no other ingredients on hand). So I just took my mom-taught homemade mac and cheese recipe and added smokies.

1 (16 ounce) box macaroni noodles (cooked)
1 (14 ounce) package Little Smokies sausages
2 tablespoons butter
1 lb cheese (more if desired ( fresh grated is best, but not necessity)
3/4 cup milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Cook Macaroni noodles according to package directions. Drain and rinse.
  • Saute lil' smokies in pan until warm.
  • Grate cheese while the above is cooking.
  • Grease a baking dish (the deeper the dish the more layers you can make).
  • Layers: Noodles (enough to just cover bottom of dish). Smokies (divide the by the # of layers to get them equally distributed). Cheese (cover noodles and smokies to your taste: Just make sure to reserve enough for the other layers).
  • Butter (dot this on).
  • Then begin over with the layers until all is used up (finishing with the butter).
  • Finally pour the milk over top (Important: the milk is an estimate; I never measure, just pour until it feels right but this should be about right. Just adjust according to your taste on subsequent makings).
  • Cover and bake 30 minutes.
  • Remove cover and bake another 15-20 minutes.

I wanted my mac & cheese to be more home made rather than the others I've seen made with a cheese sauce

8 oz block sharp chedder cheese(white)
8 oz block sharp chedder cheese (orange/yellow)
8 oz block swiss cheese
1 box small noodles (shells,spirals ect.)
1-2 pt milk
2 pkg little smokies with cheese(hillshire farm)
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Cut cheese into small cubes.Place in crock pot salt and pepper to taste. add cooked pasta. add enough milk to come about 1/2 way up side of pot. Mix well.
  • 2. Place lil' smokies on top of mac & cheese. Cover and cook on high setting for about 2-3 hours.or until cheese is melted.

1 lb elbow macaroni, cooked to al dente
1/2 cup oleo or 1/2 cup butter
24 ounces mild cheddar cheese or 24 ounces colby cheese
1 cup Cheez Whiz
1 cup milk
salt and pepper
1 cup corn flake crumbs

Steps:

  • In a 9x13 buttered glass cake pan layer the macaroni, both cheeses, salt and pepper, and butter, ending with cheese and butter on top.
  • Pour milk over.
  • Sprinkle corn flake crumbs and bake at 350°F until cheese is melted and top is browned (approx 40 minutes).
