Oven-baked fish sticks are crispy, tender, and SO good! Coated with breadcrumbs and delicious seasoning, these fish sticks are packed with flavor and a recipe that the whole family will enjoy!

1 pound cod (sliced into strips)
salt and pepper
1/2 cup flour
2 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup Panko
1/2 cup grated parmesan
2 teaspoons old bay seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Salt and pepper the cod strips.
  • Create a breading station for the fish. In one bowl add the flour. In the second bowl whisk together the eggs and salt. In the last bowl add the Panko, parmesan cheese, old bay seasoning, and garlic powder.
  • First dip the cod in the flour, then the egg, and lastly the Panko mix.
  • Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or golden and crispy.

1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 large egg, beaten
3/4 pound cod fillets, cut into 1-inch strips
Butter-flavored cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°. In a shallow bowl, mix bread crumbs and seasonings. Place flour and egg in separate shallow bowls. Dip fish in flour to coat both sides; shake off excess. Dip in egg, then in crumb mixture, patting to help coating adhere., Place on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray; spritz with butter-flavored cooking spray. Bake 10-12 minutes or until fish just begins to flake easily with a fork, turning once.

6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) butter, melted
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1 cup plain dried breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 1/2 pounds catfish or other white fish fillets, cut into 3- by 3/4-inch strips
Lemon wedges

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 475°F. Whisk first 4 ingredients in pie dish. Mix breadcrumbs with cayenne in another shallow dish.
  • Heat 2 baking sheets in oven until hot, about 5 minutes. Brush with oil.
  • Dip fish, 1 strip at a time, in butter mixture, then in crumbs. Turn to coat. Place 1 inch apart on prepared sheets. Bake until crumbs are golden and fish is opaque in center, about 6 minutes per side. Garnish with lemon wedges; serve.
