- Place Brie in an small ungreased cast-iron skillet or shallow 1-qt. baking dish. Combine the butter, almonds and, if desired, brandy; pour over Brie. , Bake, uncovered, at 400° until cheese is softened, 10-12 minutes. Serve with crackers or vegetables.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
- Coarsely chop 1/4 cup almonds. Combine chopped almonds, brown sugar, and mustard in a bowl; mix well.
- Cut Brie round horizontally in half. Place 1 half cut-side up in the center of a round baking stone. Spread half of the sugar mixture evenly over Brie. Top with the remaining half, cut-side up, and spread remaining sugar mixture on top. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup sliced almonds.
- Cut baguette diagonally in slices. Arrange slices around Brie and spray with cooking spray.
- Bake in the preheated oven until baguette slices are golden brown and Brie begins to soften, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes before serving.

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 C).
- Heat brown sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat until sugar is completely dissolved. Add figs and vanilla, and cook until softened, about 10 minutes. Stir in almonds and vanilla. Place brie wheel in a baking dish, and pour fig mixture over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until softened but not melted. Serve with water crackers.

- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Place the fig jam in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave for 30 seconds to soften.
- In a small bowl, combine the sliced dried figs with the nuts. Add half of the fig jam and mix well to coat the nut mixture.
- Place the round of brie in a small cast iron skillet or oven-safe dish. Using a small knife, coat the brie with the remainder of the jam or honey.
- Top the brie with the fig and nut mixture.
- Place the dish or skillet on top of a baking sheet (this will make it easier to handle and will also catch any melted cheese). Bake on the middle rack of your heated oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until the brie softens.

- Preheat oven to 350°F Spread almonds in one layer on ungreased shallow baking pan. Bake for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden. Set aside.
- Reheat oven to 400°F.
- In small bowl whisk egg and water; set aside. Unfold pastry sheet on lightly floured surface into a 12-inch square. Cut off corners to make a circle.
- Spread cranberry sauce in center of circle the same size as Brie round. Top with 2 tablespoons each of cranberries and toasted almonds.
- Place Brie over mixture. Repeat layering with remaining cranberry sauce, cranberries and 2 tablespoons almonds.
- Brush edge of the circle with egg mixture. Fold pastry up over cheese to cover. Trim any excess pastry; press to seal. Brush seam with egg mixture. Place seam side up onto baking sheet.
- Brush with egg mixture; sprinkle with ¼ cup almonds that have been coarsely chopped.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese is soft and just begins to melt. Allow pastry to cool 30 minutes before serving. Serve with assorted crackers.
