  • Elvis’ Pudding Cake. The King of Rock-and-Roll certainly knew how to make a sandwich. Fried peanut butter, bananas, and bacon! If you’ve never tried Elvis Presley’s Favorite Sandwich, I suggest you drop everything and give it a go.
  • Banana Cream Pie Muddy Buddies. Also known as puppy chow or monkey munch, muddy buddies are a super-easy sweet snack. This variation combines Chex-Mix, white chocolate, condensed milk, and banana pudding mix.
  • Double Chocolate Banana Bars. I like to pretend that using whole wheat flour in recipes makes them acceptable for breakfast. And with the number of bananas in this recipe, it’s almost healthy…
  • Easy Banana Magic Cake. Magic cakes are pretty impressive. They separate into three distinct and delicious layers when baked. Just make sure you whip your egg whites to stiff peaks and don’t panic when your batter looks thin.
  • Pan-Fried Honey Bananas. These sweet bites are a fun little treat and take less than 5 minutes to whip up. Combine the honey with a little butter or oil and a pinch of cinnamon before adding in your sliced bananas.
  • Banana Cream Pavlova Tower. This Aussie classic has a crispy meringue crust with a chewy marshmallow center. Topped with whipped cream and fruits, it is a go-to BBQ dessert Down Under.
  • Dark Chocolate Banana Nut Pops. Frozen banana pops are easy to make and are a healthier alternative to other frozen desserts. This recipe involves spooning nut butter over the banana slices and then making stacks.
  • Banana Mousse. With just four ingredients, this banana dessert is simple but delicious. Everything here gets blitzed together before being portioned out and chilled.
  • Vegan Banana Blender Pancakes. Banana pancakes are such a comfort food. You can add chocolate chips, blueberries, or drizzle with caramel for a little extra indulgence.
  • Monkey Squares. Brown butter is made by slowly cooking your butter until it turns golden brown. The flavor is rich, nutty, and the perfect partner for these banana squares.

  • Gooey brownie chocolate mug cake. Share on Pinterest. This is definitely a cake to #TreatYoSelf or share with your BFF on movie night. It’s worth every. Single.
  • Double chocolate peanut butter mug cookie. While this is called a cookie, it has a consistency like a cake. Ready in less than five minutes, it turns out rich and fudgy, with a peanut butter and chocolate center that’s perfectly ooey-gooey.
  • 4-ingredient Nutella mug cake. Nutella brings out the kid in us. The chocolate-hazelnut spread found on breakfast tables (if you’re lucky) brings nutty-cocoa flavor to a decadent dessert.
  • Chocolate chip cupcake. Vegan and oil-free, this cupcake uses almond milk and applesauce as binders and can be made with any gluten-free flour. The coconut cream frosting just may just become your go-to cake topper since it’s rich and fluffy — you’re going to want to lick the bowl.
  • Red velvet mug cake. Share on Pinterest. This is a great little Valentine’s Day cake with real cream cheese frosting. (The recipe’s easily doubled.) And if you’re single and celebrating yourself on Valentine’s Day, still go ahead and make two.
  • Funfetti cupcake. Life’s better with sprinkles, and if you bake at all, chances are you have the ingredients on hand to whip up this speckled cupcake any time.
  • Carrot cake. Cinnamon and nutmeg spice up this version of the classic springtime dessert. Top your mug cake with Greek yogurt rather than cream cheese frosting and sprinkle with crushed walnuts or pecans for a pretty presentation.
  • Pumpkin cake. When there’s no time to bake a pie, make a cake — in the microwave. Just ¾ tablespoon of sugar sweetens this cake without overpowering the delicious pumpkin and cinnamon flavors.
  • Microwave cheesecake mug cake. Proof that cheesecake can be made without an oven, this version cooks quickly and looks like the real thing when you slide it out of the mug — though you may want to be a bit forgiving on the creamy factor.
  • Cinnamon streusel coffee cake. The best part about coffee cake is the sweet, crunchy topping. Layering it with the cake batter means double the deliciousness, and baking it in a jar adds a touch of cuteness.

35 BANANA DESSERT RECIPES TO MAKE AT HOME - PUREWOW

  • Classic Banana Bread. Let’s get the standard out of the way, shall we? Our recipe leans on sour cream for tang and moisture, but you could easily substitute plain yogurt, mascarpone cheese or even buttermilk.
  • Banana Tarte Tatin. Bananas, but make it fashion. Think sticky caramelized bananas tucked into a crispy bed of puff pastry. Even better, it all comes together in a single skillet.
  • Cheater’s Bananas Foster. What’s buttery, sugary and ready to devour in less than ten minutes? Our rendition of NOLA’s signature dessert, which skips the whole alcohol-fueled flames bit and calls on just four ingredients (plus vanilla ice cream, of course) to reach banana heaven.
  • Old-Fashioned Vegan Banana Cake with Creamy Cashew Frosting. We like to think of this lighter, fluffier take on banana bread as a snacking cake, so feel free to scarf down a piece (or two) for breakfast or with your afternoon coffee.
  • Chocolate Banana Bread Babka. Not only are there mashed bananas in the babka dough, but they also make their way into the brown sugar-cocoa streusel on top.
  • Banana Split Cookies. Strawberries, walnuts, chocolate, butterscotch—all that’s missing is a few scoops of ice cream and a mountain of whipped cream. Dry the strawberries thoroughly before placing them, so they stay in place as they bake.
  • Hummingbird Cupcakes with Pineapple ‘Flowers’ This lightly spiced pineapple-banana cake has been a Southern classic for decades. We upped the summery ante by crowning each mini cake with a dried pineapple round.
  • Upside-Down Banana-Caramel Bread. Butter, brown sugar and banana’s natural juices create a decadent caramel sauce that you’ll straight-up want to bathe in.
  • Banana Sushi. These cuties are coated in creamy peanut butter before being enrobed in dark chocolate. Roll them in any toppings your heart desires, like chopped pistachios, coconut flakes, sesame seeds or freeze-dried raspberries.
  • Charcoal Banana Bread. Sure, activated charcoal is touted for its medicinal and cosmetic purifying properties. But at the very least, this dusky gray baked good will look stunning on your breakfast table.
