Number Of Ingredients 3

1 package low-moisture mozzarella sticks (like string cheese)
1 package bacon
1/4 c. canola or vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Cut the string cheese into thirds, then cut the bacon in half.
  • Wrap each piece of cheese twice: lengthwise with one half-strip, then widthwise with another half strip, so the cheese is completely covered.
  • Pour canola or vegetable oil into a skillet, filling it about 1" deep. Heat the oil for 3 to 4 minutes over medium high heat.
  • Using tongs, carefully place a few of the bacon-wrapped cheese sticks into the pan. After about 2 minutes, gently flip or roll over each piece, cooking the other side. Keep cooking until the bacon has turned dark pink and the fat is no longer translucent.
  • Place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain off any excess grease. Let cool for 8 to 10 minutes before serving.

string cheese, frozen
oil, for frying
toothpick, for support

Steps:

  • Freeze the string cheese (for at least a few hours)
  • Once frozen, place the string cheese on top of a slice of bacon, and fold the edges over to cover the cheese.
  • Once folded wrap/roll the cheese in a second slice of bacon. Make sure to use toothpicks for support.
  • Pour oil into a pan and heat to 350°F (177°C), then place your Bacon Mozzarella stick into it.
  • Fry until the bacon appears to be cooked in it's golden brown state then let dry on a paper towel.
  • Once dried, serve with a dipping sauce of your choice!
  • Enjoy!

Mozzarella cheese sticks wrapped in crispy bacon are a fun and addictive snack for game-day! You will need to use pre-cooked bacon for this recipe so look for packages of it at the grocery store.

12 string cheese or mozzarella cheese sticks
36 strips pre-cooked packaged bacon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a large baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Starting at one end of a cheese stick, carefully wrap one strip of bacon around it, overlapping bacon halfway each time to help secure the bacon in place. Because the bacon is pre-cooked it will be a little harder to wrap, but the light pink and fat portions should still be pretty flexible. When you reach the end of your bacon, tuck the end into one of the folds to keep it from unwrapping. Repeat with 1-2 more strips of bacon until your cheese is completely covered, including ends of cheese.
  • Place finished wrapped cheese stick on a baking sheet. Repeat with remaining cheese and bacon. Bake in the oven for about 6-10 minutes, or until bacon is crisp and before cheese completely loses its form.

Here's what you need: ketchup, tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, mustard, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, boneless, skinless chicken tenders, mozzarella cheese, bacon, fresh parsley

2 cups ketchup
1 cup tomato sauce
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon mustard
½ cup light brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
8 boneless, skinless chicken tenders
8 sticks mozzarella cheese
8 slices bacon
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, for serving

Steps:

  • Make the marinade: In a medium dish or bowl, combine the ketchup, tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, mustard, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Set aside ½ cup (130 g) of the mixture for the glaze and another ½ cup (130 g) for the dip.
  • Butterfly the chicken tenders. Place a large sheet of plastic wrap over them and gently use a meat mallet or rolling pin to flatten the chicken to about ⅛-inch (3 mm) thickness.
  • Remove the plastic wrap and place the chicken tenders in a the remaining marinade. Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Remove chicken from the refrigerator. Wrap a chicken tender around a mozzarella cheese stick. Take a strip of bacon and spiral it around the tender. Repeat with remaining chicken tenders.
  • Place the chicken tenders on a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or until slightly crispy. Flip tenders halfway through.
  • Remove the tenders from the oven and generously brush with reserved glazed. Bake for another 10 minutes or until completely crisp.
  • Remove from the oven, top with chopped parsley, and serve with reserved dip
  • Enjoy!
