Easy bacon-Cheddar drop biscuits. Although Cheddar tastes the best in this recipe, you can sub any other cheese you have on hand.

- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
- Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels. Let cool enough to handle; crumble.
- Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and cut in shortening until it resembles coarse crumbs. Add buttermilk and stir just enough to form a ball. Fold in crumbled bacon and Cheddar cheese.
- Drop heaping tablespoonfuls on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Serve immediately.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Lightly spray 16 to 18 mini muffin cups, 12 regular muffin cups, or 8 inch pie plate with cooking spray.
- In large bowl, stir together Bisquick, milk, maple syrup and egg.
- Add bacon and cheese; stir just until combined. A few lumps may remain.
- Pour batter evenly into muffin cups or pie plate.
- Bake 10 to 15 minutes for mini muffins, 20-25 minutes for regular muffins or pie plate, or until tops are light golden brown and spring back when lightly touched.
- Cool in pan 5 minutes.
- Remove from muffin cups to serving plates.
- Serve warm or at room temperature drizzled with maple syrup or sprinkled with powdered sugar.

- Heat oven to 375°F. Generously grease 24 mini (1 3/4x1-inch) muffin cups with shortening or cooking spray.
- In small bowl, stir Bisquick mix and butter until blended. Add boiling water; stir vigorously until soft dough forms. Press rounded teaspoonful of dough on bottom and up side of each muffin cup. Divide bacon evenly among muffin cups.
- In small bowl, beat half-and-half and egg until well blended. Stir in onions, salt and red pepper. Spoon 1 1/2 teaspoons egg mixture into each muffin cup. Sprinkle cheese over tops.

- Spray 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Heat 12-inch skillet over medium heat; cook bacon 10 to 15 minutes or until crispy. Transfer to paper towels to drain. Crumble 3 slices of the bacon; cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Crumble remaining 3 slices, and transfer to slow cooker.
- Pour all but 1 tablespoon bacon drippings out of skillet. Add onion to skillet; cook 4 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender. Transfer onion mixture to slow cooker. Stir in broth, potatoes and ranch dressing mix.
- Cover; cook on Low heat setting 5 to 6 hours or until bubbly and potatoes are tender.
- Increase heat setting to High; stir in whipping cream. In small bowl, beat cornstarch and water with whisk. Beat cornstarch mixture into soup; cover and cook about 15 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Add Kraft™ Velveeta™ cheese to slow cooker; stir until melted. Add 1 1/2 cups of the Cheddar cheese; stir until melted. Serve soup with remaining 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese and reserved crumbled bacon.

- Heat oven to 350°F. In 3-quart saucepan, place Brussels sprouts; add enough water just to cover. Heat to boiling; boil 6 to 8 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain and return to saucepan; set aside.
- Meanwhile, in 10-inch skillet, cook bacon over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until crisp. Remove bacon with slotted spoon; drain on paper towels and set aside. Drain all but 1 tablespoon bacon fat from skillet.
- Add butter to bacon fat in skillet. Heat over medium-high heat until butter is melted. Add onion; cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until crisp-tender. Add flour, thyme and pepper; cook and stir until well blended. Gradually stir in half-and-half and bouillon granules. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Pour sauce over Brussels sprouts in saucepan; mix gently. Spoon into 2-quart casserole. Bake uncovered 25 to 30 minutes, sprinkling with crumbled bacon and Cheddar cheese for last 10 minutes of baking, until hot and bubbly.
