OVEN-BAKED BACON

Oven-Baked Bacon image

I always bake bacon in the oven! You just need to plan a bit ahead as the bacon takes longer. With baking, the bacon grease stays nice and clean and you can reuse it to saute vegetables or eggs for extra flavor.

Categories     Side Dish

Time 35m

Yield 6

Number Of Ingredients 1

1 (16 ounce) package bacon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place bacon slices one next to the other on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven. Flip bacon slices with kitchen tongs and return to oven. Bake until crispy, 15 to 20 minutes more. Thinner slices will need less time, about 20 minutes total. Drain on a plate lined with paper towels.

BACON BEEFY BAKE

Bacon Beefy Bake image

Wow... this is quick, easy, and very decadent. In each bite, you really taste the cheese and smokey bacon flavor. There's a hint of the Montreal and Adobo seasonings, but it's not overpowering. A slice of this and a crisp salad would make an easy meal.

Provided by Kimber Flory

Categories     Beef

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 lb thick sliced bacon
1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 Tbsp Adobo powder
1 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
1/2 c barbecue sauce
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. This recipe works best in a cast iron skillet.
  • 2. Take bacon and lay in strips along bottom of skillet like pie slices, meeting in the middle with the extra hanging over the edge of the skillet. Use the whole pound, even if you have to overlap the bacon.
  • 3. Place uncooked ground meat in the middle of the skillet and press flat along the bacon until you reach the edge.
  • 4. Sprinkle seasoning and cheese over the ground meat.
  • 5. Then lift the ends of the bacon and fold over into the middle. Coat the top evenly with the barbecue sauce.
  • 6. Place cast iron skillet into the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until ground meat is cooked through. If you would like the bacon on top to be crispy, you can turn on your broiler for the last few minutes to crisp up the bacon on top.
  • 7. Remove carefully from the oven and allow to sit for 5 minutes before cutting and serving. Enjoy!

BAKED BEANS WITH BEEF

Baked Beans with Beef image

This is the best baked bean recipe I've ever known. Great with any main dish but more especially with barbeque beef, pork, or chicken. The slow cooker does an amazing job with these beans.

OVEN-BAKED BEEF BACON

Oven-Baked Beef Bacon image

Beef bacon is amazing! It's fatty and flavorful and makes an excellent alternative to pork bacon.

Provided by Vered DeLeeuw

Categories     Breakfast

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 1

8 oz beef bacon

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
  • Arrange the bacon slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. It's okay if they touch each other, but they should not be stacked on top of each other.
  • Place the pan in the oven and bake the strips until well browned, 15-20 minutes.
  • Be careful when removing the pan from the oven - its bottom will have quite a bit of hot rendered fat.
  • Using tongs, remove the strips to a plate lined with paper towels. Serve immediately.
