Ingredients

1 cup(s) sugar
1 cup(s) water
8 cup(s) cold water
1 1/3 cup(s) fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon(s) lemon zest, grated fine
- lemon slices and fresh mint leaves

Steps:

Combine sugar and 1 cup of water in small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and cool completely. Add rest of ingredients and stir well. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves. Makes 2 ½ Quarts.

1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon grated fresh lemon rind
1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (12 lemons)
4 1/2 cups cold water
garnish lemon slice

Steps:

Combine sugar and boiling water, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add lemon rind, juice, and cold water. Stir well, chill, and serve over ice. Garnish if desired.
