B-52 (LAYERED SHOT)
This is one of our favorite shots. It's smooth, and the aftertaste is delightful! For a quick reference to memory, think 'KGB' which are the initials of the ingredients. The B52 is a 'bomber' as it hits you before you know it. We love it with Budweiser chasers. Cheers. :)

Steps:
- To a shotglass, begin with the Grand Marnier and fill the glass 1/3 full.
- Take the Bailey's, and slowly pour down the inside of the glass. It will flow under the Grand Marnier.
- Next, Do the same with the Kaluha as you did for the Bailey's. It will flow under the Baileys.
- This will create a beautifully layered shot that you drink straight down. It's easiest to pour down the inside of the glass if you have pour spouts inserted in the bottles. Practice makes perfect, but drink too many of them and your aim will be off. LOL!

B-52
I made this delish B-52 Cake by Leta and wondered why it was called that! I found out their is a drink by that name so I posted it for you all to enjoy. If you want to layer for an alternate method instead of on the rock try, the secret to making the perfect layered drink is to pour your heaviest liqueur first, then add other liqueurs according to their density. This way the alcohol will not mix, but layer, one on top of the other. To figure the density of different liqueurs you may have to experiment a bit, but generally syrupy schnapps type liqueurs are the most dense, then cream liqueurs such as Irish Cream, and lastly regular liqueurs such as gin or vodka. To actually pour these drinks, the secret is to pour very slowly, barely dribble the liqueurs into your glass. Start with your first liqueur and pour it into your glass, now take your spoon and place the tip of the spoon very close to your first liqueur, now carefully and slowly pour in your second liqueur over the back of the spoon and into the glass, then your third. Repeat this step as many times as necessary to complete your drink. After a little practice you can generally do away with the spoon and will be able to pour a slow steady stream, and keep your liqueurs from mixing.

B-52 SHOOTER
The B-52 is a layered shooter (served in a shot glass) that first emerged in the 1970s to raving reviews because of its sweet, creamy flavor. It's usually consumed in a single gulp. If poured correctly, the liquors will separate into different layers that float atop one another. The secret to perfect layer is to be sure to...

Steps:
- 1. Pour the Kahlua into the chilled shot glass.
- 2. With the spoon turned upside down (and the spoon tip resting along the inside edge of the shot glass, just above the Kahlua layer), slowly pour the Bailey's so it hits the spoon first and slowly trickles into the shot glass without disrupting the Kahlua layer.
- 3. With the same spoon turned upside down and resting along the inside edge of the shot glass, slowly pour the orange liqueur so it slowly trickles into the shot glass without disrupting the Bailey's layer.
- 4. Serve immediately.

- Place each liqueur in a separate small bowl or measuring cup. Place 4 1/2 sheets each of the gelatin, one at a time, in each of the three liqueurs, breaking the sheets if necessary to thoroughly submerge them in the liquid. Cover each of the liqueurs with plastic wrap to prevent evaporation while the gelatin softens.
- When the gelatinis softened in the Kahlúa, pour the Kahlúa and gelatin in a small saucepan. Heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until the gelatin is completely dissolved and incorporated in the liqueur. If there are small particles that will not dissolve, strain the liquid to remove the solids.
- Pour the liquid into the bottom of a 4-by-8-inch loaf pan lined with plastic wrap. Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill until the gelatin has set, about an hour.
- Repeat with the Baileys, and then the Grand Marnier, pouring the newly prepared liqueur on top of the set liqueur in the mold. After all three layers are in the mold, refrigerate until completely set, preferably overnight.
