This Avocado Margaritas recipe makes a creamy and delicious drink that margarita and avocado lovers will love!

1 tablespoon kosher salt
4 lime wedges
2 avocados (halved, pitted, and peeled)
3 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
1 jalapeño (stemmed and de-seeded)
2 tablespoons agave nectar
4 ounces Cointreau (or triple sec)
8 ounces blanco tequila

Steps:

  • Place the kosher salt on a shallow plate.
  • Rub the rims of four serving glasses with a cut lime.
  • One at a time, invert the glasses onto the shallow plate and wiggle back and forth to coat the rims evenly in salt.
  • Place the avocados, lime juice, agave, Cointreau, jalapeño, and tequila into the pitcher of your blender. Top with ice (about 3 cups) and secure the lid.
  • Insert the pitcher securely into the blender's base.
  • Blend the mixture by selecting the icy drinks/smoothies program.
  • Divide the blended margaritas into the four prepared serving glasses.
  • Garnish with lime wedges and serve.

3 tablespoons blanco tequila
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice plus 1 lime, cut into wedges
1 tablespoon amber agave
1 tablespoon triple sec
1 cup ice
1/4 fresh avocado, peeled (about 1/4 cup)
Coarse salt, for rimming glass

Steps:

  • Add the tequila, lime juice, agave, triple sec and ice to a high-power blender. Blend until the ice is crushed and the mixture is homogeneous, about 20 seconds. Add the avocado and barely blend, about 10 seconds more. The mixture will be smooth and pourable. (Be sure not to overblend, because the mixture will become too thick.)
  • Use a lime wedge to moisten the rim of the glass. Dip the rim into the coarse salt. Pour the margarita into the glass and garnish with another lime wedge.

1 tablespoon kosher salt or gourmet salt of your choice
1 teaspoon finely grated lime (or 1 teaspoon finely minced green herb)
1/2 avocado (pitted, peeled)
4 ounces tequila
3 ounces gran gala (a triple orange liquor (or triple sec))
3 ounces fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon agave or simple syrup
1 tablespoon orange juice or squeeze fresh orange
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro and (optional celery leaves combined)
4 lime wheels

Steps:

  • Rim 4 medium sized glasses with a lime wedge and dip into crushed salt. Salt should be moderately course. You can mix the salt with some lime zest or finely chopped parsley (or cilantro)for added color.
  • Combine all ingredients into a blender.
  • Pour into glasses.
  • Garnish with lime wheel.
  • This makes 2 to 4 margaritas.

2 lime wedges
1 California avocado (cut into pieces)
1 1/2 cups crushed ice
3 ounces lime juice
2 teaspoons agave nectar
4 ounces tequila
2 ounces triple sec
3 spring cilantro
2 lime wedges (for garnish)

Steps:

  • On a plate, mix together the salt and chili pepper.
  • Run a lime wedge around the rim of each margarita glass and turn each glass upside down into salt mixture. Turn the glass until the rim is completely coated.
  • In a blender, combine the avocado, crushed ice, agave nectar, tequila, triple sec and cilantro springs. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour the margarita into the two prepared glasses. Garnish the rims of the glasses with lime wedges. Serve.

1.5 oz 1800 Silver tequila
0.75 ounces Cointreau OR Grand Marnier
1.5 oz lime juice
1.5 ounces raw agave OR stevia simple syrup
Half a ripe avocado
2 to 3 sprigs of cilantro
Kosher salt / celery salt (for rim)
Lime wedge (for garnish)

Steps:

  • Kosher / Celery Salt Rim: Mix 1 teaspoon of celery salt with 4 tablespoons Kosher salt in a small bowl. To rim the glass, wet outside of Margarita glass with lime wedge and dip into salt mixture. Set the glass aside.
  • In a Blendtec or Vitamix blender combine avocado, lime juice, agave nectar and cilantro leaves.
  • For Vitamix or other variable speed blender: Use variable speeds 1-4, slowing increasing for about 30 to 45 seconds.
  • For Blendtec: Use Speed 4 and Blend for 30 seconds.
  • Remove contents from blender (make sure to scrape sides) and combine in a mixing glass with the tequila and Cointreau. Shake vigorously and strain over ice into two salt-rimmed glass. Serve with a lime wedge and enjoy!

3 slices jalapeño (seeds removed)
4 fresh mint leaves
1 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
2 ounces blanco tequila
1 ounce orange liqueur
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1 pinch salt
Garnish: salt rim
Garnish: mint sprig

Steps:

  • Rim a double rocks glass with salt and set aside.
  • Add the avocado, jalapeño, mint and lime juice into a shaker and muddle until the avocado is mashed.
  • Add the tequila, orange liqueur, simple syrup and salt.
  • Fill the shaker with ice, and shake until well-chilled.
  • Strain into the prepared rocks glass over fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a mint sprig.

1 1/2 cups ice cubes
1/2 avocado
5 ounces tequila
2 ounces triple sec
3 ounces lime juice (this is about 1 juicy lime)
1 1/2 teaspoons agave or maple syrup or honey
2 slices jalapeno
1 sprig cilantro (plus extra for garnish)
Tajin or sea salt or sugar to rim the glasses

Steps:

  • Start by rimming the glasses with the tajin or sea salt or sugar.
  • Pour some tajin or sea salt or sugar onto a small plate. Take out two of your favorite glasses, and rub a lime around the rim of each glass. Then flip each glass upside down and place the rim of the glass onto the plate, coating each rim well. Once you've done both glasses, set them aside.
  • To make the margaritas, add all of the ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
  • Transfer the mixture between the two glasses and add a spring of cilantro for garnish.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
