Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups unsweetened apple juice
6 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick (3 inches)
3 cups water
5 tea bags
Additional cinnamon sticks (3 inches), optional

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the apple juice, cloves and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes., Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, bring water to a boil. Remove from the heat; add tea bags. Cover and steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags. Strain juice mixture, discarding cloves and cinnamon. Stir into tea. Serve warm, with additional cinnamon sticks if desired.

1/2 cup apple cider or juice
1/4 teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot
2 whole allspice
2 whole cloves
1 black tea bag
1/2 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon brown sugar

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Add boiling water. Cover and steep for 5 minutes. Strain, discarding tea bag and spices. Stir in sugar. Serve immediately.

3 cups apple juice
2 cups pineapple juice
6 to 8 tea bags (i prefer orange pekoe, but just about any black tea works well)
1 1/2 qt boiling water (6 cups)
1 cup granulated sugar
2 lemons, sliced
2 oranges, sliced
1 /2 tsp ground cloves (or to taste)
2 tsp ground cinnamon (or to taste)

Steps:

  • 1. Stir all ingredients in a large saucepan, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • 2. Remove and discard tea bags.
  • 3. For hot Apple Spiced Tea: Pour tea into hot beverage mugs. (Makes about 10-12 cups of hot tea.) OR For iced Apple Spiced Tea: Let tea cool, pour into pitcher, and chill in refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours (or longer), and pour into tall glasses filled with ice cubes. (Makes about 6-8 glasses of iced tea.)

1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice
1 tablespoon honey
4 bags green tea
coffee filter (optional)

Steps:

  • Place the first 3 ingredients in a saucepan.
  • Bring to a rolling boil on high flame.
  • Let it stand for 2 minutes to cool slightly.
  • Place tea bags in a teacup.
  • Pour very hot (not boiling) apple mixture over the tea bag.
  • Use a coffee filter to strain juice if you wish.
  • Bre for 2 minutes or until desired strength.
  • Remove tea bag.
  • Serve with carrot bar cake.

Make this brine for turkey or any poultry you enjoy! Do take into consideration the nutritional facts will not be right. As for most of the brine does get washed away and discarded. Serving size depends on the size of poultry you brine.

1 cup coarse salt or 1 cup pickling salt
1 lb brown sugar
4 oolong tea bags
2 quarts apple juice
1 inch ginger, sliced lenghtwise
10 whole allspice
10 peppercorns
2 bay leaves
10 fresh sage leaves
4 sprigs fresh rosemary
10 garlic cloves
4 quarts cold water

Steps:

  • In a very large pot (big enough to hold turkey) bring all the brine ingredients but turkey to boil then lower heat to simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags.
  • Cool.
  • Add washed and towel dried turkey to apple mixture and cover with ice cold water making sure turkey is completely submerged adding more water if needed.
  • Refrigerate for 10 to 15 hours just so the turkey absorbs the brine.
  • Remove turkey from brine discard brine and rinse turkey towel dry inside and out.
  • Proceed with grilling, frying, roasting your turkey just remember brined foods will cook quicker!

This recipe isn't really a complete original like some of my others since the idea of apple spice tea has been around for ages. The particular ingredients and quantities, however, are my own doing. Note: I've listed things in teaspoons because this website won't let me list it in parts, but it's technically in a ratio, so you can make whatever quantity you want.

1 teaspoon dried apple
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon clove
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
1 teaspoon black tea

Steps:

  • Assemble all the ingredients and place in a tea ball. Note: If you don't own a tea ball, then you can put the ingredients directly in the water and then strain out later.
  • Place tea ball in hot water and steep for 10 minutes.

4 orange pekoe tea bags
1/3 cup honey, orange blossom, wildflower
3 cups apple juice, natural
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/16 teaspoon clove
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
6 cinnamon sticks (garnish)
ice cube

Steps:

  • Steep tea bags in hot water for 3 - 4 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags and stir in honey, juice and spices.
  • Mix gently until the honey is dissolved.
  • Cool on counter and then chill for at least 4 hours.
  • Stir and serve in a tall frosted glasses over ice with a cinnamon stick.

  • Use a vegetable peeler to remove strips of peel from half of the lemon; set peel aside. Squeeze juice from lemon.
  • Combine apple juice, water, and 1 tablespoon of the lemon juice in a large saucepan. (Save remaining juice for another use.) For the spice bag, place cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and the lemon peel strips in the center of a 6-inch square of double-thick 100-percent cotton cheesecloth. Bring corners together and tie with a clean string. Add bag to apple juice mixture.
  • Bring mixture to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Add tea bags; cover and let stand 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and spice bag and discard them. Stir in maple syrup. Serve in mugs. If desired, float apple slices on top of each serving. Makes 8 servings.
