APPLE PIE MILKSHAKE



Apple Pie Milkshake image

This milkshake is made with a slice of apple pie!! Saw this tonight on t.v.-- as made at the famous Lakeview Restaurant est. 1935, in Toronto, Canada. What a delicious and unusual use for that leftover slice of apple pie (or you can bake a pie, just for this shake!). Enjoy!! :)

2 -3 scoops French vanilla ice cream
1 1/2-2 cups fresh milk
1 slice apple pie

Steps:

  • Place ice cream and milk into a blender; add the apple pie (cut into cubes).
  • Blend (leave some small chunks of apple pie).
  • Serve in a tall glass, with a wedge of piecrust on top for decoration. Enjoy!

My family loves this recipe on hot summer days. My friends also request these when we have our annual Fourth of July parties, and sometimes during Halloween parties. This is how we like them, but play around with it and make it your own! I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

1 ½ cups peeled and diced apple
½ cup apple juice, or more if needed
½ cup vanilla ice cream
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 tablespoon white sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Blend apple, apple juice, ice cream, butter, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a blender until smooth.
