APPLE ORANGE SMOOTHIE RECIPE
Apple orange smoothie, a perfect breakfast drink to brighten up your day! While you can quite easily get your hands on an apple orange smoothie at your nearest café or juice bar, this homemade version is the best you can make with my easily customizable tips for optimal freshness and health.

Steps:
- Wash apples under running water. Spray vinegar and leave them aside for 2 to 3 mins.
- Rub them well with sea salt and wash under running water.
- Peel the skin if apples are not organic. Keep the skin on for organic apples. Wash and peal the oranges.
- Remove the pith of the oranges and halve the oranges, lengthwise . Then make a deep cut in the halved oranges in the center, so you cut all of the orange segments. Remove the seeds.

APPLE ORANGE JUICE RECIPE
Many people ask, which juice is better, apple or orange? Well, we say that both are equal. Apple orange juice combines the goodness and nutrients of both apple and orange into one, giving you best of both the worlds. In addition to these, this recipe also uses honey to increase the health quotient.

- Cut apple into large pieces and remove the core. Cut oranges into halves and remove seeds. Remove the skin of oranges and cut into large pieces or squeeze out the juice of orange either by squeezing it of using electric citrus juicer.
- Add 1/2 to 3/4 cup water, apple pieces and orange pieces (or squeezed juice from oranges) into a blender jar.
- Blend until smooth puree.
- Place a fine mesh strainer over a large bowl. Pour the juice over strainer.
- Use the spatula and gently press the puree to squeeze all the juice out of the pulp. Discard the remaining fibrous pulp.
- Add honey into prepared orange apple juice and mix well. Pour it into serving glasses drink immediately to get maximum nutrients.
APPLE BANANA SMOOTHIE
Thick and healthy fruit drink with apple, banana and orange juice. The frozen banana takes the place of shaved ice and results in a smooth, creamy texture. Serve with dollop of whipped cream for added effect.

No need for juicers here- this grapefruit juice with carrot and apple can be made with a blender and a nut milk bag! The apple and carrot make this a deliciously balanced grapefruit juice recipe you can make again and again!

- Slice the grapefruit in half, then into quarters. Peel the skin off each piece, trying to remove the white pithy section as you peel it. Place this into the blender first.
- Cut the apple and remove the seeds. We leave the skin on and cut into cubes that are 1-2″ in size. Place this into your blender on top of the grapefruit.
- Cut the ends off the carrots and peel (optional) then slice into 1″ or smaller pieces. Add the carrots to your blender and blend for 1-2 minutes.
- If needed, have your tamper nearby. With our vitamix we never need it, but depending on your specific blender you may. You can also add 1/4 cup of water if things aren't blending well but we never need to do this.
- Use a tea towel, 4-5 layers of cheese cloth, or a nut milk bag to strain the juice. Place the fabric over a large mixing bowl and pour the juice into the nut milk bag. Squeeze & twist GENTLY to slowly push the juice through while leaving the pulp behind.
- If you squeeze too hard/too aggressively more pulp will escape through the bag.
- If using cheese cloth or a tea towel, I find it's best to layer the material over a sieve prior to pouring the juice out.
- This is best consumed immediately or within 24 hours when stored in the fridge.
