These cheesy open-faced sandwiches-featuring toasted raisin bread, bacon and sugared apples-are broiled until bubbly and served for breakfast.

6 slices raisin bread, toasted
2 Tbsp. margarine, softened
12 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, crisply cooked
1-1/2 cups thinly sliced apples
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
6 oz. VELVEETA, sliced

Steps:

  • Preheat broiler. Spread toast slices evenly with margarine; cover each toast slice with 2 bacon slices. Top evenly with apples and sugar.
  • Broil, 4 to 6 inches from heat, 2 to 3 minutes or until sugar is hot and bubbly.
  • Top evenly with VELVEETA; continue broiling 1 to 2 minutes or until VELVEETA begins to melt.

½ cup white sugar
½ cup distilled white vinegar

½ cup miniature marshmallows
½ cup raisins
½ cup diced celery

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the salad dressing, peanut butter and sugar until smooth. Add the vinegar, whisking until dressing is creamy. Add additional vinegar to get creamy consistency, if necessary.

1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon vinegar
6 cups apples, diced
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • Mix butter, sugar and cornstarch.
  • Stir while pouring boiling water over it.
  • Bring mixture to a boil and thicken.
  • Cool.
  • Then add vanilla, vinegar and salt.
  • Pour over chopped apples (we like to use Spartans).
  • You can add a handful of nuts or raisins or both, if you like.

½ cup white sugar
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, with juice
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 egg, beaten

1 cup coarsely chopped dry roasted peanuts

Steps:

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together the egg, flour, sugar, vinegar and pineapple. Cook until thick, about 6 minutes. Set aside until completely cool.
