APPLE PIE CHEESECAKE RECIPE BY TASTY

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 300˚F (150˚C).
- Line a springform pan with a pie crust, pressing it around the sides of the pan until smooth.
- In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
- Add the sour cream and mix together. Add in one egg at a time, whisking until smooth.
- Pour mixture into the springform pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- After baking, turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour without opening the oven door.
- Turn up the oven temperature to 425˚F (220˚C).
- In a saucepan, add the apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, and water over medium-low heat. Stir occasionally until apples are soft (about 10 minutes), then remove from heat. Let cool.
- Once cool, spread apple pie filling over cheesecake.
- Cut the other pie crust in to ¼-inch (6 mm) strips and make a lattice pattern across the top.
- Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Chill until set then serve.

- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar and salt; cut in butter until crumbly. Gradually add ice water, tossing with a fork until dough holds together when pressed. Divide dough in half. - Heat oven to 450 degrees.
- Make pie crust as directed on box for one-crust pie shell, using 9" glass pie pan, except DON'T prick crust.
- Bake 9-11 minute or until light brown. If crust fluffs up gently push down with fork.
- Reduce oven temp to 350.
- In a small bowl, stir together streusel ingredients except butter until it looks like coarse crumbs. Set aside.
- In a large bowl gently mix apple layer ingredients, set aside.
- Mix cream cheese and sugar well. Beat in egg and vanilla and mix well.
- Spread cream cheese mixture into pie shell. Add the apple slices evenly. Top with streusel mixture and top with small chunks of butter.
- Bake 50-60 minutes, or until apples are tender and streusel is golden. You may need to cover the pie loosely with foil the last 15 minutes of baking to prevent over browning.
- Let pie cool 1 hour prior to eating. Store pie in fridge.

- 1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- 2. Beat cream cheese and 1 cup (2 sticks) butter in large bowl with mixer until blended--I used my stand mixer.
- 3. Gradually add 3 cups of flour, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended.
- 4. Shape into 2 equal balls.
- 5. Place 1 ball on a large slighted floured sheet of waxed paper, flatten slightly. Cover with a second floured sheet of waxed paper. Roll out dough to 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch rectangle.
- 6. Discard the top sheet of waxed paper. Spray a 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan with cooking spray. Invert over rolled out dough. Flip dough and pan together (pan will be on the bottom). Remove the second waxed paper sheet and gently press dough onto the bottom and up the side of the pan.
- 7. In a small bowl, whisk the remaining 1/4 cup flour, sugars, and cinnamon.
- 8. Toss apples into this mixture coating them well. Spread apples onto the bottom of crust packing them in tightly.
- 9. Dot top of apples with the remaining 1/4 cup butter cut or pinched into little pieces.
- 10. Repeat the rolling out of the remaining dough ball to make a second rectangle.
- 11. Remove top sheet of waxed paper, carefully flip the dough over apples. Discard waxed paper. Tuck edges of dough down sides of pan to enclose apples. Make several slits in top crust to vent.
- 12. Bake 40 to 50 minutes, or until nice and golden brown.
- 13. Cool 15 minutes.
- 14. Meanwhile, mix powdered sugar with apple cider or water.
- 15. Drizzle glaze over top in a decorative manner. Cool 30 minutes before cutting. Makes approximately 16 servings. Store leftovers in the refrigerator. Enjoy!

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Roll out pastry and set aside.
- In a large bowl, blend cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour. Mix well. Add apples to cream cheese mixture and stir until apples are evenly coated. Add brown sugar mixture to apple mixture gradually, stirring after each addition.
