BEST APPLE CAKE
This is my DH favorite cake, I have tried many apple cakes over the years and this is a winner!! So moist and dense, with a caramel taste, cannot say enough, just try it and see.

Steps:
- In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, soda and salt. Make a well in the center and set aside.
- In a medium bowl combine eggs, oil, apple juice and vanilla. Stir in apples and nuts. Add the egg mixture to dry ingredients, just until moistened.
- Spread batter in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes.
- In a small saucepan combine the brown sugar, butter and cream.
- Cook and stir till bubbly and all of the sugar is dissolved. Cool slightly. Drizzle warm sauce over cake, when it has cooled for 5 minutes, so it can seep into the cake, keeping it moist.

- Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with shortening or cooking spray. In small bowl, mix 1 cup Bisquick mix, the nuts and brown sugar. Cut in 3 tablespoons firm butter with fork or pastry blender until mixture is crumbly; set aside.
- Spread apples in baking dish. In medium bowl, stir remaining filling ingredients until blended. Pour over apples. Sprinkle with topping.
- Bake about 55 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean; cool slightly, about 30 minutes. Serve warm if desired with ice cream.

- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease or spray 13" x 9" pan or baking dish with 'Pam' or equivalent cooking spray.
- 2. Combine pie filling with dry cake mix (do not add water). Spread in prepared pan.
- 3. Bake in preheated 350°F oven for 20 min., or until cake part is no longer damp. Top should be lightly browned.
- 4. Cool a little while and cut into 16 portions. Serve with ice cream if desired.
- 5. NOTE: You can substitute any flavor of pie filling for the apple, depending on your tastes.

- Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9x9 square baking pan.
- In a large bowl, using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat butter and brown sugar until creamy and combined. Add flour, oats, salt, and baking soda and beat until combined and crumbly, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed.

- I used my kitchen scissors and cut up the chunks of the apples so they would be more bite size, and mix more easily into the batter.
- Don’t add anything else that the back of the box says too! Also, grease and flour your pan, even though the back of the box doesn’t say too.
- I used a bundt pan instead of a square baking pan, just because I think it makes it a lot prettier. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for around 35 minutes, or till top springs back when you touch it.
