This has become a neighborhood favorite. It's great on fish, particularly salmon, and chicken.

⅓ cup soy sauce
⅔ cup white wine
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro

Steps:

  • In a shallow dish, mix together soy sauce, wine, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and cilantro. Marinate fish or chicken for 1/2 hour or more before grilling.

This is the perfect marinade for tender rib eye steak.

1 (12 ounce) bottle red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
½ tablespoon minced onion
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 (10 ounce) beef rib eye steaks

Steps:

  • In a shallow, nonreactive dish, mix red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion, and pepper. Place steaks in the mixture. Cover, and marinate 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil grate.
  • Grill steaks on the prepared grill 5 to 7 minutes per side, to desired doneness. Discard remaining marinade.

  • In a medium bowl, combine the garlic, soy sauce, olive oil and water; mix well. Marinate meat of your choice for at least 8 hours.
