Prepare Angel Chicken in the morning and come home to slow-cooked chicken thighs in a creamy sauce. If only every meal were as easy as this Angel Chicken!

4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 can (10-3/4 oz.) reduced-sodium condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup KRAFT Tuscan House Italian Dressing
1/4 cup dry white wine
1-1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 lb. angel hair pasta, uncooked
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Whisk first 4 ingredients until blended; pour over chicken in slow cooker. Cook on LOW 4 to 5 hours (or on HIGH 2 to 3 hours).
  • Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt; drain. Serve topped with chicken mixture; sprinkle with parsley.

SLOW COOKER ANGEL CHICKEN RECIPE

Creamy Italian chicken cooked in the slow cooker, then angel hair pasta is stirred in to finish the dish.

8 oz. softened cream cheese
1/4 cup salted butter (melted)
1 tsp. minced garlic
10 oz. can cream of chicken soup
1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 lb. chicken tenderloins
0.70 oz. packet Italian dressing seasoning (divided (we use good seasons zesty Italian dressing mix))
2 Tbsp. Chardonnay wine ((optional))
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken stock
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 white onion (diced)
1 lb. angel hair pasta ((cooked according to package directions, see below))
chopped parsley
parmesan

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, combine softened cream cheese, butter, minced garlic, and cream of chicken soup. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Stir often. Stir in the remaining Italian dressing seasoning, Chardonnay, heavy cream, chicken stock, garlic salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  • Heat a frying pan over high heat.
  • Toss the chicken tenderloins in olive oil and 2 teaspoons of the Italian dressing seasoning.
  • Sear tenders for 1 minute per side,
  • Add chicken to the crock pot. Cover with onions, then pour the contents of the saucepan over the top. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
  • Once 15 minutes remains, prepare the angel hair pasta according to package instructions al dente.
  • As the pasta finishes up, remove chicken from the crockpot and shred. Return to the crock pot and stir.
  • Drain the pasta and add to the crockpot. Stir well to combine.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and shredded parmesan. Enjoy!

6 boneless chicken breasts
1/2 cup butter
1 (1 ounce) package dried Italian salad dressing mix
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can Campbell's Golden Mushroom soup
1/2 cup white wine (may substitute water or broth)
4 ounces cream cheese with chives and onions
angel hair pasta (cook according to box directions)

Steps:

  • Place the chicken in crock pot.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan.
  • Stir in Italian salad dressing mix, can of soup, cream cheese & wine(or water or broth). Pour over chicken.
  • Cook on low in the crock pot for 4-5 hours.
  • Pour over cooked angel hair pasta or other noodles or rice. Enjoy!
  • Makes 6 breasts.

This is a wonderful slow cooker recipe. I understand it is call Angel Chicken because of it's heavenly mushroom sauce. The chicken is fork tender. Mmmm. Comfort food!! My family loves this recipe... and so do I, because it is an easy weeknight meal for a mom that works outside the home.

2 (8 ounce) packages fresh mushrooms, quartered
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (about 1-1 1/2 lbs)
1/4 cup butter
1 (2/3 ounce) package italian dry salad dressing mix
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed golden mushroom soup
1/2 cup chicken broth
0.5 (8 ounce) container cream cheese spread with chives and onions
hot cooked rice
cornstarch

Steps:

  • Put mushrooms in a 4 quart slow cooker; top with chicken breast. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan; stir in the italian dressing mix, golden mushroom soup, chicken broth and cream cheese until melted.
  • Pour this over the mushrooms and chicken.
  • Cover and cook on high heat for 4 1/2 hours, or on low heat for 8 hours.
  • If the sauce is a little too thin, I mix about a tbs. or two of cornstarch in a 1/4 cup of water until it dissolves. Then I add this to the crockpot and let the sauce simmer for a few minutes, until the sauce is thickened a bit.
  • Serve chicken and sauce over cooked rice or pasta.
  • Enjoy!

1 package (16 ounces) angel hair pasta
1-1/4 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1 large carrot, diced
2 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 celery rib, diced
3 large garlic cloves, minced
2 cups heavy whipping cream
5 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute the chicken, salt and pepper in 2 tablespoons oil until no longer pink. Remove and keep warm. , In the same skillet, saute carrot in butter and remaining oil for 1 minute. Add onion and celery; saute 3-4 minutes longer or until tender. Add garlic; cook for 1 minute., Stir in the cream, bacon, lemon juice and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 2-3 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Return chicken to the pan., Drain pasta; toss with chicken mixture. Garnish with cheese.
