Baked Brie with Fig Jam, a deliciously easy appetizer recipe that is perfect for holiday entertaining! So easy and delicious!

8 oz (230g) wheel of brie
2 tbsp. (30ml) fig jam
1 teaspoon (5 ml) fresh rosemary, minced
2 dried figs, sliced
1 tbsp. (15 ml) of pecans, chopped
1 baguette, sliced and Toasted
2 bunches grapes

Steps:

  • Slice baguette into thin slices and place on a baking sheet.Place under the broiler until toasted, and then flip until toasted on the otherside. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.
  • Place brie in an oven-safe dish, a 6" (15cm) Lodge Skilletworks perfectly!
  • Spread jam on top, add rosemary, dried figs, and pecans.
  • Place in preheated 375F (190C) for 15 minutes. Place on awooden charger, add grapes and toasted baguette!

Jams, preserves, jelly, 3 tbsp (I use Fig Spread)
Brie Cheese, 8 oz

Steps:

  • Directions Adriatic Fig Spread with the orange paper on the lid is what you really want for this recipe. It's less chunky/ molre runny than preserves and has a different taste. You can find it at Whole Foods and HEB Grocery stores. Any sized wedge of brie will do. Unwrap and set on a plate. Using a sharp knife i like to remove the top 'rind' because i don't prefer the taste. Top with a few tablespoons of adriatic fig spread. Serve with minitoasts or crackers. Alternatively I couldn't find the ingredients on the list, but if you can find the pre-made tiny phyllo horsdoeuvres shells in the freezer section. Fill each with a tiny bit of brie (maybe 1/2 teaspoon) and a little dollop of Adriatic Fig Spread. Put in a warm oven (like 350) until the cheese has just melted but hasn't become bubbly. It is VERY tasty. Great for a party. 1 (2.8 ounce) package toasted baguette slices (such as Trois Petits Cochons® Petits Toasts)
½ pound Brie cheese, cut into 1-inch squares
1 cup fig preserves
½ cup toasted slivered almonds
1 teaspoon balsamic glaze (reduced balsamic vinegar), or more to taste
1 pinch fresh thyme, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Arrange toasts on a serving platter and top each with a Brie cheese square. Spoon fig preserves onto Brie cheese and sprinkle almonds over toast. Drizzle a fine line of balsamic glaze over each toast and top with thyme.

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Remove rind from the Brie and cut into 1-inch pieces. Cut stems from the figs and slice into halves.
  • Lightly coat a 1½-quart baking dish with cooking spray. Place the cubed Brie, figs, thyme, and pepper in prepared dish and cover dish with aluminum foil. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until Brie is heated through and is soft around the edges.
  • Remove foil and drizzle with honey. Sprinkle with walnuts and minced chives. Serve warm with toasted baguette slices or crostini.
