Number Of Ingredients 14

For Icing:
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 cups butter
1 cup milk
5 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. maple flavoring
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
2 Tbsp melted butter

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 2. In a mixer, blend together eggs, both sugars and butter. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, milk, salt and maple flavoring. Blend well. 3. Place scoops on ungreased baking sheet (about 1 1/2 Tbsp. worth). Dip teaspoon in water and press tops gently to flatten. 4. Bake 10 minutes. All to cool on baking racks. 5. Make icing: Put 2 cups powdered sugar in a medium bowl. By hand, blend in maple syrup and butter. Add more liquid or powdered sugar if needed to adjust consistancy. 6. Frost cookies. Makes 130 cookies

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, beat the butter, oil and sugars. Beat in eggs until well blended. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; gradually add to creamed mixture., Drop by small teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake until lightly browned, 8-10 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.
