Here's what you need: red potatoes, butter, shredded cheddar cheese, eggs, fresh chives, garlic salt, dried oregano, pepper

4 red potatoes
½ cup butter, melted
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 eggs, whisked
¼ cup fresh chives, chopped
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Peel and grate the potatoes.
  • Drop shredded potatoes into a large bowl of ice water to remove surface starch.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200˚C).
  • Strain or squeeze potato shreds and transfer to a large bowl.
  • Add butter, cheese, eggs, chives, garlic salt, oregano, and pepper in with the shredded potatoes. Mix together.
  • Take a handful of the mixture and pack it on a baking sheet into desired hash brown shape.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until brown and crispy.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Serve warm.
  • Enjoy!

1 ½ cups corn flakes, coarsely crushed
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 2 quart glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. In large bowl combine all hash brown ingredients; mix well. Spread into prepared baking dish.
  • In small bowl stir together topping ingredients. Spread topping evenly over hash browns. Bake 45 minutes or until hash browns are tender.

3 tablespoons Olive Oil
1/4 cup diced onion
22 oz frozen hash browns
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
2 tablespoons Melted Butter
Nonstick Cooking Spray
Salt and Pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  • Cover a sheet pan with foil and spray down with nonstick cooking spray, like Pam.
  • In a bowl, add your frozen hash browns, shredded cheese, onions and seasoning. Toss with tongs to mix. Now add olive oil to mixture and mix well, trying to spread olive oil through the mixture. Lastly, add melted butter and mix again.
  • Dump cheesy hash browns on foiled lined baking sheet and spread out to an even layer.
  • Bake in the oven for 28 minutes for crispy edges and finished hash browns.
  • Serve with Bacon and Eggs (both done in oven too!)

1/4 cup (2 ounces, 1/2 stick) unsalted butter
1 cup minced onion (1 small onion)
10 1/2 ounce can condensed cream of chicken soup (See Tip 1)
16 ounces sour cream (See Tip 2)
6 slices bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Colby cheese (See Tip 3)
30 ounce package of frozen hash browns (See Tip 4)
1/4 cup (4 Tablespoons) Panko bread crumbs (See Tip 5)
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter for dotting on top of casserole

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 9 x 13-inch casserole dish with non-stick spray. Set aside. (See Tip 6)
  • Melt 1/4 cup of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced onions and cook until onions are tender, about 5 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes.
  • Combine sour cream, soup, bacon, garlic powder, salt, pepper and cheese in a large bowl. Add frozen hash browns; stir to combine. (See Tip 7)
  • Transfer to prepared casserole dish. Top with Panko bread crumbs and dot with butter. May be made in advance up to this point
  • Bake in preheated 350°F oven for 45 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on the top.

  • in large bowl mix hashbrowns and cheese together (set aside).
  • mix together sour cream, soup, onion, and butter.
  • Add mixture to hashbrowns and mix together.
