This is a great recipe that I found in another user's comments but nowhere else on the site. Enjoy! We use this as a dip for crab cakes or as a spread on sandwiches.

¾ cup mayonnaise
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 ½ tablespoons lemon juice
¾ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Mix mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

6 tbsp. Olive oil
1 tsp. Shallots minced

Steps:

  • Place Alouette Garlic & Herbs Spreadable Cheese in medium sized bowl. In another bowl, whisk together olive oil, vinegar and shallots until well blended. Gradually add the vinaigrette mixture to the cheese creating a delicious sauce.

Bacon is considered by many (myself included) to be the ice cream of meats. Breading and frying it in oil takes it to a completely new level. I serve these on slider buns as appetizers for parties.

1 cup mayonnaise (such as Hellman's®)
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 cup chopped fresh basil
1 cup chopped fresh dill
1 quart oil for frying
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
½ cup heavy cream
2 eggs, beaten
1 (1 pound) package bacon strips, halved
16 small sandwich rolls
4 tomatoes, sliced
salt and pepper to taste
½ head lettuce, chopped

Steps:

  • Make the aioli by stirring the mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice, basil, and dill together in a bowl. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
  • Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Stir the flour, onion powder, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl. Whisk the heavy cream and beaten eggs together in a separate bowl.
  • Dip each piece of bacon into the egg mixture and then into the flour mixture. Repeat the process a second time to assure each piece is heavily coated.
  • Fry the bacon in the hot oil until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes per side. Set aside onto a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
  • Spread a generous amount of the aioli onto each roll. Add a slice of tomato to each and season with salt and pepper. Finish the sandwiches with a portion of the lettuce and a few slices of bacon.

  • Tear up the bread into small chunks and place in a small bowl. Pour the milk over the bread and give it a stir. Let the bread soak in the milk for 10 minutes. Clump up the bread into a ball and place in the corner of a kitchen towel. Wring the towel to squeeze out the milky liquid from the bread.
  • Drop the bread into the bowl of a food processor, add the garlic cloves, and pulse the mixture until you get a smooth paste. Add the salt and egg yolk, then give the mixture a blend until they're well-incorporated.
  • Now, slowly stream the olive oil into the food processor as it's blending, pouring the oil in bit by bit. Once the oil has been blended in, add the juice of the lemon. Taste test and add more lemon if desired. Otherwise, if the sauce is too thick, you can add hot water, one tablespoon at a time. The sauce should be thick and heavy enough to hold it's shape on your spoon, yet it should be able to fall off your spoon in a steady, ribbon-like fashion.
