ALOHA BURGER RECIPE (JOLLIBEE COPYCAT, ALMOST!)
Juicy cheeseburger, grilled pineapple, crispy bacon. Add honey mustard sauce & what you have is an aloha burger recipe that's almost as good as Jollibee's!

- Warm your grill to high heat, according to manufacturer's instructions.
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until fully incorporated (see notes). Divide into approximately 1/4 pound (113 grams) portions and shape the patties. Place on your hot grill until cooked to your liking.
- Stir all ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside.
- Get the bottom half of your burger bun and spread about a teaspoon (or more, up to you) of honey mustard sauce.
- Then proceed to layer the lettuce, tomatoes, burger patty, cheese (see notes), bacon (1-2 strips, or as many as you want!) and pineapple.
- Top with the other half of your burger bun. Add mayo if desired.

- Spray gas or charcoal grill rack with cooking spray. Heat grill. Mix sauce ingredients; set aside. In large bowl, mix ground turkey, gingerroot, garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil. Shape mixture into 4 patties.
- Place patties and pineapple slices on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook patties 8 to 10 minutes, turning after 5 minutes, until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160°F. Cook pineapple slices 8 to 10 minutes or until browned and slightly charred, turning once. Place burgers on bottoms of buns; top with lettuce, grilled pineapple, onion, sauce and tops of buns.

- Gather the ingredients.
- Drain pineapple juice in a bowl.
- Add teriyaki sauce and mix.
- Place pineapple slices and 3 tablespoons of pineapple teriyaki mixture in a resealable plastic bag.

- Place chicken breasts into a plastic zipper bag with soy sauce, seal the bag, and marinate in refrigerator for 30 minutes. While chicken is marinating, place the bacon in a large, deep skillet, and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on a paper towel-lined plate, and set aside. Spread cut sides of hamburger buns with butter.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat, and lightly oil the grate.
- Remove the chicken from the soy sauce, and discard the excess soy sauce. Place the chicken breasts onto the preheated grill, and grill until chicken shows good grill marks, is no longer pink inside, and the juices run clear, 4 to 5 minutes per side. When chicken is almost done, brush each piece generously on both sides with teriyaki sauce to finish grilling. Place a slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast, and cover with a lid to help the cheese melt onto the chicken.
- While chicken is grilling, spread the buns open on the grill and cook until toasted and showing grill lines, about 2 minutes. Set the buns aside.
- To assemble, spread the grilled sides of each bun with mayonnaise, and top each bottom bun with a cooked chicken breast, 1 1/2 slices of bacon, a slice of pineapple, a slice from a head of lettuce, a slice of tomato, and the top bun.

- Drain pineapple juice into a small bowl; add teriyaki sauce. Place 3 tablespoons in a resealable plastic bag. THE ANGRY HAWAIIAN BURGER

- Make the angry Hawaiian sauce: Combine pickled jalapenos, pineapple and barbecue sauce in a bowl.
- Place bacon in large pot and cover with water. Boil until most of the fat is rendered, about 45 minutes. Drain bacon. Preheat a grill or pan, then form bacon into 4 patties and sear until crispy.
- Divide beef into 4 patties. Sprinkle beef patties with seasoned salt and cook over medium-high heat until desired doneness.
- Meanwhile, toast buns to desired doneness.

- Heat oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add red onion, garlic, and ginger; saute until onion has softened and turned translucent, about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.

- For the sauce: Stir together the mayo, teriyaki sauce, honey and cayenne in a small bowl. Set aside.
- For the burgers: Set a grill pan over medium-high heat (you can also use a skillet).

- Mix together teriyaki sauce and ½ cup pineapple juice (from pineapple rings). Marinade chicken in 1 cup of teriyaki, pineapple mixture. Cook bacon until crisp. Grill chicken until cooked add cheese for the last few minutes to allow cheese to melt. Place pineapple on the grill and grill for about 5 minutes. Toast hamburger buns. To assemble place chicken, bacon, pineapple, lettuce and onion on hamburger bun.
