This high protein Bodybuilding Meatloaf recipe is great for meal prep, packed with flavor, and easy to make with simple ingredients.

1 ½ Pounds Ground Beef (93/7 Lean (or Ground Turkey))
3 Cloves Garlic (or 1 ½ Teaspoons Minced Garlic)
½ Yellow Onion (Chopped)
1 Large Green Pepper (Chopped)
1 Cup Bread Crumbs (Whole Wheat)
1 Large Whole Egg
1 Large Egg White
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
¼ Teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Basil
2 Tablespoons Parsley
3 Tablespoons Parmesan & Romano Cheese (Grated)
8 Ounces Tomato Sauce (No Salt Added)

Steps:

  • Chop up your Yellow Onion and Green Pepper
  • Take out a large stovetop pan and turn your burner on Medium Heat
  • Add your Olive Oil into your pan and let it heat up
  • Cook your Yellow Onion, Green Pepper, and Garlic in your pan until lightly browns
  • Mix those and the rest of your ingredients together aside from your Tomato Sauce in a large bowl
  • Put your mix into a bread dish
  • Add your Tomato Sauce on top
  • Bake on 350F/176C for 45-60 minutes

Keep it lean: Ground sirloin steak works best for this recipe. Ask your local butcher to grind it to around 93% lean.

1 1/2 lbs ground beef (93-96% lean)
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste (optional, but if used will add moisture)
1 garlic clove, chopped
2 chopped red bell pepper
2 tbsp chopped green bell pepper
3 tbsp bread crumbs
1 whole egg or 2 egg whites
1 freshly chopped Italian parsley
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/2 lb potatoes, cut into wedges
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°. Combine all ingredients, except the potatoes and broth, in a large mixing bowl. With clean hands, mix all ingredients thoroughly. Shape the meat loaf however you like, but keep the thickness to about 3". Place it onto a baking pan. Place the potato wedges around the meat loaf. Place in the oven, and bake for 30 minutes, or until center of meat loaf reaches 160°. Remove from oven. Let stand for 10-20 minutes. Slice, and enjoy.

⅓ cup ketchup
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup bacon bits
¼ cup crushed pineapple, drained
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
1 pound ground beef
¼ cup dry bread crumbs
¼ cup crushed saltine crackers
1 egg, beaten
½ clove garlic, minced
¼ onion, minced
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
¾ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Stir ketchup, brown sugar, bacon bits, pineapple, and 1 dash Worcestershire sauce together in a small bowl; reserve.
  • Combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, saltines, egg, garlic, onion, 2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper in a large bowl; mix well. Pat meat mixture into a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Bake meatloaf in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven; pour reserved pineapple mixture over loaf. Return to the oven; bake until no longer pink in the center, about an additional 20 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce. tomato sauce, crushed pork skins, and eggs. Season with chili powder, garlic salt, and garlic pepper. Mix until well blended. Form into a loaf, and place into a greased loaf pan. Bake, uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. Let stand for at least 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
